Job DescriptionPurchasing Business Developer – Reman & Circularity Greensboro, NC | Hybrid 1-Year Contract | $62.50/hour Kelly Services is seeking an experienced Purchasing Business Developer to support a major global manufacturer’s Remanufacturing & Circularity organization. This is a unique opportunity for a strategic purchasing, procurement, supplier development, or business development professional who enjoys finding suppliers, developing supplier relationships, and creating new opportunities around remanufactured and repaired components. You will serve as a key connection between Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Service Market teams, and suppliers. A major focus of the role will be identifying, meeting with, and developing suppliers that can support remanufacturing and repair initiatives. What You'll Do • Identify and develop relationships with potential remanufacturing, repair, and circularity suppliers, • Meet with suppliers to understand their capabilities, technologies, capacity, and potential fit, • Identify new supplier and business opportunities through market research and outside-in intelligence, • Lead early-stage supplier engagement and collaboration, • Support RFQs and ensure remanufacturing and repair requirements are incorporated into supplier sourcing activities, • Work with Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Business Area teams to align supplier strategies, • Evaluate supplier capabilities, opportunities, risks, and potential solutions, • Develop recommendations and business cases for leadership, • Support supplier negotiations, sourcing strategies, and supplier awards, • Build and maintain strong strategic supplier relationships, • Identify opportunities for innovation, cost improvement, efficiency, and long-term competitiveness, • Coordinate meetings, governance activities, reporting, and presentations for business stakeholders, • Help establish consistent processes and ways of working for Reman & Circularity Purchasing, • Drive projects from early concept through supplier selection and implementation, • Communicate progress, risks, opportunities, and recommendations to senior leadership What We're Looking For • 8+ years of related professional experience, • Bachelor's degree preferred, • Experience in purchasing, procurement, strategic sourcing, supplier development, business development, or supply chain, • Strong experience working directly with suppliers and conducting supplier meetings, • Ability to identify and develop new supplier relationships and business opportunities, • Experience in automotive, commercial vehicles, heavy equipment, manufacturing, industrial, or related industries preferred, • Understanding of remanufacturing, repair, aftermarket, parts, or circular economy concepts is highly valued, • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills, • Experience working cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Purchasing, and Operations, • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, • Comfortable preparing presentations, recommendations, and decision material for leadership, • Ability to work independently while coordinating multiple stakeholders and projects, • Strong Microsoft Office/Excel and presentation skills, • Willingness to meet with suppliers and travel as needed Why This Opportunity?
