Skillz Physical Therapy is hiring an experienced Illinois-licensed Physical Therapist for our privately owned outpatient orthopedic practice in Evanston. This role is for a clinician who wants a more sustainable outpatient workday without giving up strong compensation or meaningful orthopedic clinical work. You will treat orthopedic, spine, sports, and post-surgical patients in an environment that values careful assessment, sound clinical reasoning, clear patient education, and treatment decisions based on how the individual patient responds. Why This Role Is Different • $95,000–$115,000 annual salary, • Typical caseload of 8–10 patients per day, • Approximately 60-minute evaluations, • Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., • No regular weekends, • Outpatient orthopedic, spine, sports, and post-surgical caseload, • Clinical environment that values independent reasoning, • Continuing-education support, • McKenzie/MDT development and credential reimbursement, • Future clinical and leadership growth potential What You'll Do You will evaluate and treat patients with orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions including: • Back and neck conditions, • Shoulder conditions, • Knee conditions, • Foot and ankle conditions, • Sports injuries, • Spine-related conditions, • Post-operative orthopedic rehabilitation Our patient population includes active adults, seniors, student athletes, and post-surgical patients. You will: • Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations, • Assess symptom behavior, movement limitations, functional deficits, and patient goals, • Develop individualized plans of care, • Explain findings clearly to patients, • Provide appropriate exercise, education, hands-on treatment, and clinic-supported interventions, • Modify treatment based on patient response, • Track meaningful patient outcomes, • Coordinate appropriately with support staff, • Maintain accurate and timely documentation Your Workday Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Weekends: No regular weekends. Typical patient volume: Approximately 8–10 patients per day. New-patient evaluations: Approximately 60 minutes. We want clinicians to have enough time to understand the patient's presentation, make sound clinical decisions, and communicate those decisions clearly. Compensation $95,000–$115,000 per year, based on outpatient orthopedic experience, advanced clinical credentials, clinical capabilities, and leadership capability. Candidates with substantial outpatient orthopedic experience, advanced McKenzie/MDT credentials, strong spine and extremity expertise, or meaningful leadership experience may qualify toward the upper end of the range. Sign-On Bonus A $2,000 sign-on bonus is available for qualified Physical Therapists. Additional signing consideration may be available for candidates with significant McKenzie/MDT credentials. MDT, • Diploma MDT, • Advanced spine and extremity assessment experience, • Sports rehabilitation experience, • Post-operative orthopedic experience, • Clinical leadership experience, • Interest in continued professional development McKenzie/MDT training is preferred, not mandatory. If you are an experienced orthopedic Physical Therapist with strong clinical reasoning but do not currently have an MDT credential, you should still consider applying.
