DBA TIDEWATER DEVELOPMENT SERVICES CORPORATION (TDSC) SUMMARY: The Civil Utility Skilled Laborer position will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of utility (water, sewage, and drainage systems) installation and maintenance projects. The role involves ensuring all pipes are accurately installed to the plans and specifications for each project. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: • Perform a variety of construction-related tasks under the direction of the Foreman. Candidates outside of this area may also be considered. Due to the traveling nature of this position, relocation assistance is not provided. SUMMARY: This position requires the candidate to be solely responsible for and held accountable for the timely completion of the project and ensuring that the project is constructed in strict accordance with plans, specifications, and local codes. Provide on-site coordination for all phases of construction projects, including coordinating subcontractors, material, and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being strictly followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. Superintendent shall be responsible for scheduling, inspections, quality control, and job site safety. Valid driver’s license and decent driving record. OSHA 30/CPR-First Aid/USACE CQM Certifications all preferred but willing to train. This position requires 100% travel and on-site work, often for extended periods, depending on project duration and location. Projects may be located across different states or regions within the United States.
