Job DescriptionJob Title: Apartment Setup TechnicianJob Description The Apartment Setup Technician supports the setup and preparation of corporate apartments prior to guest move-in. This role ensures each unit is properly furnished, stocked with housewares, thoroughly cleaned, and fully move-in ready while following established company standards for quality, safety, and presentation. Responsibilities • Transport and install housewares and light furniture into apartments using company vehicles and appropriate moving equipment., • Set up and tear down apartments according to company standards, ensuring consistent layouts, organization, and presentation., • Perform final inspections of apartments to verify cleanliness, completeness, and overall readiness before resident move-in., • Review housewares inventory and confirm all required items are present, clean, and functional., • Quickly identify and resolve setup issues such as missing items, incorrect placements, or minor maintenance needs., • Follow and maintain key control procedures for inspected units to ensure security and accountability., • Purchase and manage local inventory as directed, including tracking stock levels and replenishing supplies., • Use basic technology, including Microsoft Office and mobile apps, to document work, track inventory, and communicate with the team., • Use basic tools to perform minor adjustments or installations related to furniture and housewares., • Lift and move items up to 80+ pounds with assistance from a dolly or hand truck, following safe lifting practices., • Support housekeeping and quality control activities, including cleaning, quality checks, and apartment turnover tasks., • Collaborate with team members in a supportive, team-oriented environment to complete apartment setups efficiently., • Provide customer service-oriented support when interacting with residents, building staff, or other stakeholders as needed.Essential Skills, • Valid driver’s license with ability to operate a 20 ft box truck., • 2 years of experience in a related or similar position such as inventory, delivery, logistics, apartment turnover, or property management., • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds safely and repeatedly., • Ability to lift 80+ pounds with assistance from a dolly or hand truck., • Experience with furniture assembly and installation., • Comfort using basic tools for minor adjustments or installations., • Comfortable using basic technology, including Microsoft Office and mobile applications., • Experience with general labor tasks such as moving, setup, and basic maintenance., • Strong attention to detail for quality control, cleanliness, and inventory accuracy., • Ability to travel within the local market as required.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Prior experience with inventory control, delivery, or logistics., • Experience with box truck and furniture delivery., • Background in apartment maintenance, apartment turnover, or property management., • Experience in housekeeping duties and cleaning services., • Room setup experience in hospitality, events, or similar environments., • Customer service orientation and strong communication skills., • Experience in quality assurance, quality checks, and inspection processes., • Experience in moving and setup of furniture and housewares., • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and support colleagues as needed.Why Work Here? Work Environment This role follows a consistent schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with no weekends required, supporting predictable work-life balance. You will have access to company vehicles, including a 20 ft box truck and vans, to complete apartment setups and deliveries. Work is hands-on and physically active, involving moving, lifting, and setting up furniture and housewares in furnished corporate apartments. You will work closely with a supportive team that encourages collaboration, communication, and a strong team environment. The position involves working in apartment communities and corporate housing units, performing cleaning, quality checks, and setup tasks using basic tools, moving equipment such as dollies or hand trucks, and standard cleaning supplies. Dress expectations align with a professional, safety-conscious field role, suitable for moving, cleaning, and light maintenance activities. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Virginia Beach, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
