Job DescriptionJob Title: Commercial ElectricianJob Description We are seeking a skilled Commercial Electrician to read blueprints, lay out work, and lead helpers in executing jobs. The role involves bending conduit and pipe, roughing wire, conduit bending, installation, switch troubleshooting, and replacing and installing electrical equipment and systems in commercial, industrial, and critical power environments. Responsibilities • Read and interpret blueprints and specifications., • Lay out work for job execution., • Lead and guide helpers in completing tasks., • Bend conduit and pipe as required., • Rough wire and perform conduit bending., • Install and troubleshoot switches., • Replace and install electrical equipment and systems., • Adhere to local, state, and federal electrical codes., • Use appropriate tools and testing equipment for job completion., • Communicate effectively with team members and customers., • Perform any additional duties as assigned by management.Essential Skills, • Knowledge of local, state, and federal electrical codes., • Ability to read and understand blueprints and specifications., • Proficiency in conduit bending and wiring., • Experience with electrical equipment and systems in commercial and industrial settings., • Effective communication and teamwork skills.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience as a mechanic/journeyman/level electrician., • Ability to run conduit, EMT, rigid wiring, and light fixtures.Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is a construction site where you will work Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newport News, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $33.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
