From 1st September, we're taking over the tenancy and are growing the team. Our focus is great food, great atmosphere, and brilliant, fresh pub-style cooking done properly. We're looking for a Head Chef ready to be part of that journey with us. Your Bread & Butter Competitive salary: £35,000 - £40,000, dependent on experience 45 hours per week, with evenings and weekends required as part of the role The Extras Quarterly performance bonus, when the kitchen does well, you do well 25% staff discount - bring your friends and family 30 days' holiday for management roles, above the statutory minimum, because we believe in a good work-life balance and a well-rested chef is a great chef We know you work hard so we feed you well - free meals on shift Tips shared equally across the whole team Pension contributions Onsite parking The Role As Head Chef, you'll take full ownership of the kitchen from daily service to supplier relationships, and play a key role in shaping how our food is run as we develop new menus and operations under new management. We're looking for someone genuinely passionate about food, who wants to keep growing and developing, and who brings real pride to every single dish that leaves the pass. Key Responsibilities Maintaining consistent food quality Running the kitchen day-to-day across restaurant, bar and event/function room service Building and developing the menu, balancing high-quality food with efficient, cost-effective execution Managing kitchen GP Managing food ordering, stock control and supplier relationships Leading, training and supporting kitchen staff Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards throughout Working closely with the owners as we settle in together Must Haves Proven experience in a Senior Sous or Head Chef role Strong leadership and organisational skills Hands-on, dependable, and confident running a busy service Right to work in the UK Preferred Level 3 Food Safety & Hygiene qualification (or equivalent) Own transport What You'll Bring A passion for real cooking and quality food Energy, pace, and a positive attitude A team player with great communication The ability to stay calm and efficient under pressure Apply here - we'd love to hear from you.
