You will play a crucial role in maintaining our supply chain operations and ensuring efficiency within our processes. \n \n You will build great relationships with internal and external customers and play a big part in ensuring great quality goods are purchased in the right quantities, at the right time and at a great price. You will be a confident user of Excel and comfortable getting to grips with ESG systems. \n \n You will be a confident, detail-oriented and organised individual, with a drive to succeed, even when the pressure is on! \n \n Key Responsibilities \n \n\n • Order placement (for low level spend) using ESG systems.\n, • Updating all purchase order due dates accurately and in a timely manner.\n, • Checking inbound freight invoices values against quotes, ensuring paperwork is all correct and archived appropriately. \n, • General administrative duties.\n, • Producing / assisting with weekly/monthly reports, e.g. availability report, cost saving tracker, inventory projection, forecasting etc.\n, • General chasing / follow up on any non-conformances with suppliers.\n, • Communicating with suppliers using a range of methods including face-to-face, email, telephone, Zoom etc.\n, • Building great relationships with internal and external customers. \n, • Maintaining accurate electronic files for each supplier and create part numbers accordingly.\n\n \n Skills & Experience \n \n Essential \n \n\n • Be a competent user of MS Office applications, specifically Excel.\n, • Have previous experience of automated ordering systems.\n, • Be able to build good working relationships, both internally and externally.\n, • Be resilient with a positive, can-do attitude.\n, • Have strong organisational skills.\n, • Attention to detail in every task undertaken.\n, • Be able to work well within a team and independently.\n, • Be proactive, creative and willing to challenge if you don’t agree.\n, • 9 GCSE’s grade 4 or above.\n\n \n Desirable \n \n\n • Previous Supply Chain experience/Purchasing department experience\n, • Previous experience buying commodities\n, • Second language (European / Chinese) would be advantageous.\n\n \n What We Offer \n \n We offer a competitive salary package, discretionary bonus opportunities, and a range of benefits, including enhanced pension, healthcare, life assurance, and 25 days annual leave. \n \n Alongside this, you will have the chance to work in a supportive and collaborative team within a global, growing organisation, contributing directly to business success and operational excellence. \n \n Salary £37k - £40k
