Job Description Electrical Foreman The Electrical Foreman installs, maintains, and troubleshoots electrical systems in water treatment plants and other industrial and commercial facilities. This role oversees conduit installation, wiring, and system layout, ensuring all work aligns with blueprints, electrical schematics, and safety standards. The position involves hands-on field work, coordination with site teams, and delivering reliable electrical solutions across a variety of job sites. Responsibilities • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems in water treatment plants and other industrial and commercial environments., • Bend and install conduit, including EMT and rigid conduit, with precise measurements and layout., • Run rigid conduit and install ductbank systems according to project specifications and electrical codes., • Pull wire and complete terminations to ensure safe and efficient operation of electrical systems., • Read, interpret, and work from blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical diagrams accurately., • Coordinate daily work activities on industrial and commercial job sites to meet project schedules and quality standards., • Ensure all electrical installations comply with applicable codes, standards, and safety procedures., • Troubleshoot electrical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions in a timely manner., • Collaborate with construction teams and other trades to integrate electrical work into broader project plans., • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including proper use and care of tools and equipment., • Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors about project status, issues, and resource needs., • Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of required PPE and adherence to site-specific safety rules., • Travel to project sites within the region as needed, with mileage reimbursement available for qualifying locations., • Be available to work on weekends when project schedules require, in line with site and client expectations. Essential Skills • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a commercial or industrial electrician., • Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and safety procedures in industrial and commercial settings., • Proficiency in conduit work, including bending EMT and rigid conduit and running conduit in complex layouts., • Experience installing ductbank systems and pulling wire for various electrical applications., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical diagrams accurately., • Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve electrical issues efficiently., • Attention to detail to ensure precise installation and compliance with codes and project specifications., • Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and other trades on active job sites., • Strong teamwork abilities to contribute effectively within construction and project teams., • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to multiple job sites., • Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds safely and repeatedly., • Comfort working at heights, in confined spaces, and in outdoor environments as required by the job., • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods during daily work activities., • Ability to pass a pre-employment experience check and drug screening. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Journeyman electrician license is preferred and demonstrates advanced technical proficiency., • Previous experience leading or coordinating electrical work on industrial or commercial construction projects., • Familiarity with construction site operations and collaboration with multiple trades., • Strong organizational skills to manage tools, materials, and work documentation., • Commitment to safety and continuous improvement in work practices., • Willingness to travel to project locations within approximately a 50-mile radius, with mileage reimbursement available for eligible sites. Work Environment The work environment is primarily field-based on industrial and commercial construction sites, including water treatment plants and similar facilities. Employees work both indoors and outdoors and may be exposed to varying weather conditions, heights, confined spaces, and active construction areas. Personal protective equipment is required at all times and includes a hard hat, steel-toed or composite boots, high-visibility vest, safety glasses, and gloves. Work involves regular standing, walking, bending, climbing, lifting, and carrying materials and tools. Project schedules may require flexibility in hours, including some weekend availability, and travel to job sites within the region, with mileage reimbursement offered for qualifying locations. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Charleston, SC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
