Job DescriptionJob Title: Electrician LeadJob Description This role leads a team of manufacturing electricians, overseeing daily electrical activities in a modern industrial environment. You manage a crew of 5–15 electricians, ensure high standards of safety and quality, and provide hands-on technical guidance on complex electrical systems. You coordinate work priorities to meet production schedules, coach and train team members, and collaborate closely with production, engineering, and leadership to drive continuous improvement. Responsibilities • Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of 5–15 manufacturing electricians, ensuring productivity, quality workmanship, and strict adherence to safety standards., • Coordinate daily electrical manufacturing activities, assign work priorities, and monitor project progress to meet production and installation schedules., • Coach, manage, and train new hires and existing team members, providing ongoing feedback and support to build skills and performance., • Troubleshoot complex electrical systems, including low-voltage systems and control panels, and provide technical guidance to team members as needed., • Ensure all electrical work complies with applicable electrical codes, company policies, and workplace safety regulations while promoting a strong safety culture., • Collaborate with production, engineering, and management teams to resolve operational challenges and support continuous improvement initiatives., • Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems for large commercial or industrial projects, following best practices and safety procedures., • Perform complex troubleshooting and diagnostics on electrical systems, identifying root causes and resolving issues in a timely and effective manner., • Ensure electrical work is completed according to blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, specifications, and safety regulations., • Coordinate with leadership, engineers, and other trades to align electrical work with overall project goals and timelines., • Oversee and maintain inventory of electrical materials, components, and tools, ensuring proper stock levels and availability for ongoing projects., • Develop and implement safety procedures and protocols for electrical work to minimize risk and ensure a safe working environment., • Follow lean manufacturing guidelines and actively provide suggestions for continuous improvement in processes, quality, and efficiency., • Manage crew assignments, monitor performance, and support a culture of accountability, teamwork, and open communication., • Use and enforce appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices in all electrical tasks.Essential Skills, • 3+ years of experience in electrical installation and repair in commercial or industrial environments., • 3+ years of experience in an electrical lead role, such as foreman, manager, trainer, lead, or supervisor, managing a crew of electricians., • Hands-on electrician experience, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems., • Proficiency in bending conduit and performing accurate, safe installations., • Experience working with control panels and low-voltage systems (including 20 WAT and 10 WAT)., • Ability to perform terminations and other detailed electrical connections with precision and reliability., • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings., • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for complex electrical and control systems., • Demonstrated ability to manage a crew, assign tasks, and oversee daily operations in a manufacturing or industrial setting., • Effective communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team., • Ability to coach, mentor, and train electricians at various skill levels.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • High school diploma or equivalent., • Vocational or technical training in electrical systems is preferred., • Experience in a manufacturing environment following lean manufacturing guidelines., • Comfort collaborating with engineers, production staff, and other trades on large projects., • Ability to develop and implement safety procedures and protocols for electrical work., • Strong organizational skills to manage inventory of electrical materials and tools., • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities., • Good manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination for detailed electrical work., • Ability to lift and move up to 35 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods, and stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb portable ladders as required.Why Work Here? Work Environment This is a first-shift team lead role with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., based in a modern, air-conditioned manufacturing facility in Mesa. The workplace features industry 4.0 technology and supports large commercial and industrial electrical projects. The environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with close collaboration among production, engineering, and other trades. The role requires regular standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing portable ladders, as well as the ability to lift and move up to 35 pounds. Good manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination are necessary for detailed electrical work. Use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is required to ensure safety while working on electrical systems and in the manufacturing area. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mesa, AZ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
