We are a specialist textured-hair salon committed to celebrating curls, coils and waves while creating a space where every client feels seen, understood and confident. This position would suit a developing stylist who already has a foundation in hairdressing but wants greater experience, confidence and education working across different textures. THE ROLE As a Junior Stylist, you will work with clients while continuing to develop your technical knowledge and confidence with support from the Texture team. Your responsibilities will include: • Carrying out thorough client consultations, • Listening to clients’ hair history, goals and concerns, • Performing services within your current training and competency, • Developing skills across curls, coils and different textured-hair patterns, • Educating clients on maintenance, products and home care, • Managing your appointment times effectively, • Maintaining accurate client and service records where required, • Keeping your station clean, organised and prepared, • Supporting appropriate product recommendations and rebooking, • Communicating early when a service may overrun, • Asking for technical support whenever required, • Working collaboratively with stylists, assistants and management, • Participating in training, coaching and continued technical development ABOUT YOU We’re looking for someone who: • Has existing hairdressing training and/or salon experience, • Has a genuine interest in specialising in textured hair, • Is passionate about client care, • Is eager to learn and develop technically, • Accepts feedback positively, • Communicates openly when they need support, • Is reliable, punctual and organised, • Works well as part of a team, • Takes responsibility for their work, • Maintains high standards of hygiene and professionalism You do not need to know everything. We would much rather have a developing stylist who is honest about what they don’t know and eager to learn than someone who is afraid to ask for support. WHAT WE OFFER • Ongoing textured-hair education and development, • Technical guidance and coaching, • Opportunities to observe and learn from experienced stylists, • A clear environment for professional growth, • Support in building confidence and expanding your service skills, • A collaborative and supportive salon culture, • Staff benefits in line with salon policy, • Opportunity for long-term progression within Texture OUR CULTURE Texture is about more than beautiful hair. We believe a great salon experience comes from technical skill, empathy, education, professionalism and genuine human connection. We don’t expect perfection. We expect kindness, honesty, responsibility, respect and the desire to keep becoming better. TO APPLY Please submit your CV along with a short introduction. If available, we’d also love to see examples of your work through an Instagram/portfolio link. Tell us why textured hair interests you and what you would most like to develop as a stylist.
