Job Description Warehouse & Inventory Specialist We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse & Inventory Specialist to support day-to-day warehouse operations, inventory control, shipping and receiving, and material handling. This is a full-time, first-shift, contract-to-hire opportunity, with the potential to convert to a permanent position after approximately 6 months. Training will be provided on company-specific processes and systems. Candidates do not need previous telecommunications or fiber experience. Experience working with telecom, fiber, construction, utility, or similar materials is a plus. Pre-Employment Requirements This position is contingent upon successful completion of the company's required pre-employment screening process, which includes: • Background screening, • Drug screening, • Employment verification Candidates should ensure that the employment history and information provided during the application and onboarding process is complete and accurate. What You'll Do • Pick, pull, stage, and prepare materials and orders for delivery or pickup., • Receive, unload, verify, and process incoming shipments and materials., • Maintain accurate inventory records using an inventory management system., • Verify shipments, quantities, item counts, and material measurements for accuracy., • Assist with cycle counts, physical inventory, stock audits, and inventory reconciliation., • Identify and report inventory discrepancies, shortages, damaged materials, or quality concerns., • Maintain accurate Bills of Lading (BOLs) and other shipping/receiving documentation., • Load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse, yard, or work site., • Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other warehouse equipment as needed., • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment., • Follow established company safety procedures and applicable OSHA standards., • Work closely with team members to ensure materials are accurately tracked and available when needed. What We're Looking For • 3+ years of warehouse, inventory, shipping/receiving, or material management experience., • Hands-on experience with inventory management software such as SAP, SiteSense, a WMS, or a comparable system., • Experience performing inventory counts, cycle counts, stock reconciliation, and shipment verification., • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling inventory and documentation., • Ability to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies., • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 40 lbs., • Ability to work a full-time first-shift schedule., • High school diploma or equivalent., • Dependable, organized, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. Preferred Experience • Sit-down forklift experience and/or forklift certification., • Telecommunications, fiber, OSP, construction, utility, or electrical warehouse experience., • Experience working with Bills of Lading (BOLs)., • Familiarity with material measurements, tick marks, or customer-specific inventory requirements., • Experience with shipping, receiving, logistics, or material staging.
