Job Description Job Title: Electrical Foreman Job Description The Electrical Foreman leads field electrical operations and ensures that all projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This role oversees crews on commercial, multifamily, and mixed-use construction projects, coordinates materials and schedules, and maintains strict compliance with relevant electrical codes and regulations. Responsibilities • Lead and supervise electricians and subcontractors on-site, providing clear direction and support throughout each project., • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and specifications to plan and execute installations accurately., • Coordinate material orders and deliveries to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget., • Conduct regular job walks and inspections to monitor progress, verify quality, and identify potential issues early., • Complete daily reports, safety reports, inspection documentation, and look-ahead schedules in a timely and accurate manner., • Promote and enforce safe work practices, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety protocols., • Assist with employee evaluations, performance feedback, and crew development to build a strong and capable team., • Communicate effectively with project managers, superintendents, clients, and field personnel to align expectations and resolve issues., • Ensure all electrical work complies with NEC codes and California Title 24 requirements., • Train and mentor team members to support their professional growth and enhance overall project success., • Support budgeting and scheduling efforts by providing accurate field input and collaborating on project planning., • Manage material usage and inventory on-site to minimize waste and maintain cost control., • Oversee electrical installation work on commercial, multifamily, and mixed-use construction projects, ensuring quality and compliance. Essential Skills • Valid California General Electrician License., • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial, multifamily, or mixed-use construction., • 3–5 years of supervisory or foreman experience with an electrical contractor., • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and specifications., • Demonstrated experience with electrical installation in construction environments., • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and mentor crews effectively., • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook., • Thorough understanding of NEC codes and California Title 24 requirements., • Solid knowledge of construction practices, scheduling, material management, and compliance., • Ability to work in a physically demanding construction environment, including lifting up to 75 lbs., climbing ladders, and working at heights. Work Environment This role is based in a physically demanding construction environment, working on commercial, multifamily, and mixed-use projects. You regularly work on active job sites, which can include exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, and construction activity. The position involves lifting up to 75 lbs., climbing ladders, and working at heights, while consistently using appropriate PPE and following established safety protocols. Daily work includes interacting with field crews, project management, and other trades, using tools and equipment typical of electrical construction, as well as computer-based tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook for documentation, reporting, and scheduling. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Fairfield, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
