This is a hands-on project leadership opportunity for someone who understands what it takes to get a manufacturing facility ready for production. You'll serve as a key onsite point of contact throughout design, permitting, construction, infrastructure development, equipment installation, commissioning, and overall site readiness. This is not a traditional construction Project Manager role focused solely on managing a GC. The ideal candidate brings experience with manufacturing or industrial facilities and can coordinate contractors, equipment vendors, engineers, local agencies, and internal stakeholders while taking ownership of getting the site operational. Key Responsibilities • Lead facility and capital projects from planning and design through construction, commissioning, and closeout, • Support the buildout and launch of a new 150,000-square-foot manufacturing, testing, and office facility, • Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, cost estimates, specifications, and bid packages, • Manage contractors, consultants, equipment vendors, and service providers throughout the project lifecycle, • Coordinate permitting, codes, inspections, infrastructure requirements, and other local compliance activities, • Oversee manufacturing equipment installation, utility connections, commissioning, and site-readiness activities, • Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Maintenance, EHS, IT, R&D, and site leadership, • Coordinate with local stakeholders including airport, city, workforce, and community partners, • Track project schedules, budgets, risks, and milestones while providing regular updates to senior leadership, • Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with applicable requirements Required Qualifications • Experience helping build, expand, launch, or significantly renovate a manufacturing or industrial facility, • Background in facilities engineering, plant engineering, industrial construction, capital projects, or manufacturing facilities management, • Experience managing contractors, consultants, vendors, and internal stakeholders, • Strong understanding of industrial construction, manufacturing infrastructure, utilities, and facility systems, • Experience supporting manufacturing equipment installation and commissioning, • Knowledge of permitting, building codes, inspections, and local compliance requirements, • Experience developing and managing project scopes, schedules, budgets, cost estimates, and bid packages, • Strong project leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, • Ability to work independently and serve as an onsite point person for a major facility project, • Ability to work onsite in Tulsa and travel to Wichita during the initial phase of the role Preferred Backgrounds • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Construction Management, or a related field; significant directly related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree, • Manufacturing facility buildouts, plant expansions, or greenfield manufacturing projects, • Aerospace, advanced materials, chemical, composites, laboratory, or complex industrial manufacturing environments, • Experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, controls, data/telecom, compressed air, or vacuum systems, • AutoCAD and Microsoft Project experience, • PMP or similar project management certification, • Experience working with local government, airport, permitting, or economic development stakeholders Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate is a practical, hands-on project leader who knows how to take a manufacturing facility from plans on paper to an operating production environment. You'll understand construction, but you'll also understand what happens after the building goes up — utilities need to support production equipment, contractors need to be coordinated, equipment needs to be installed and commissioned, permits need to be cleared, and dozens of internal and external stakeholders need to stay aligned. This role is especially well suited for someone who enjoys ownership, operates effectively without a large support structure, and wants to be directly involved in launching a new manufacturing operation. Why This Opportunity • Play a central role in launching a brand-new 150,000-square-foot advanced manufacturing facility, • Serve as a key onsite leader for a high-visibility company expansion, • Own projects across design, construction, infrastructure, equipment installation, commissioning, and site readiness, • Work directly with senior leadership, engineering, manufacturing, contractors, and local stakeholders, • Opportunity to make an immediate impact on a project already moving toward execution, • Potential for the role to evolve into broader facilities engineering or site leadership responsibilities after the facility launch, • Join an established aerospace and advanced materials organization investing in significant U.S. manufacturing growth, • Competitive compensation, annual bonus eligibility, and retirement profit-sharing opportunity
