This is a highly rewarding opportunity to provide tailored support for a pupil with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Dyslexia. The role will suit an individual who thrives on building positive relationships, can remain calm in challenging situations, and is passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning. Due to the needs of the pupil, experience supporting children with challenging behaviour, additional needs, or SEND is highly desirable. The Role As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will: Support a pupil with Autism and Dyslexia throughout the school day. Help the child access classroom learning and differentiated activities. Implement behaviour support strategies consistently and effectively. Promote emotional regulation, confidence, and independence. Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider support staff. Encourage positive social interactions and engagement with peers. Monitor progress and provide regular feedback on development and wellbeing. This is a long-term role where consistency and relationship-building will be key to the pupil's success. The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who: ✅ Has experience supporting children with Autism, Dyslexia, or other SEND needs. ✅ Has worked with children who may display challenging behaviour. ✅ Is patient, resilient, and able to maintain a calm approach under pressure. ✅ Can build strong professional relationships and act as a positive role model. ✅ Has excellent communication and teamwork skills. ✅ Is passionate about making a genuine difference to a child's educational journey. ✅ Holds relevant TA, childcare, health and social care, or education-based qualifications (desirable but not essential).
