Senior Manufacturing Engineer Willenhall Up to £60,000 Days Permanent Pension + Healthcare + Bonuses + Benefits package Through continued growth, a well-established manufacturing company is looking for an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join their Engineering team, driving best-practice methods of manufacture using Lean principles. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned engineer with strong CNC programming and precision machining experience to take a lead role in NPI, process improvement, and technical customer engagement across Aerospace and Automotive sectors. The Role: • Direct best methods of manufacture and provide technical engineering support to production and quality teams, • Lead internal and front-end engineering initiatives to drive business growth, • Support the New Business team with technical presentations and engineering solutions for prospective customers, • Lead technical discussions with customers and provide resolutions/recovery plans for engineering issues, • Produce in-depth timing plans to support NPI projects, • Plan and design manufacturing processes to the shopfloor, including programming CNC milling and turning machines, • Design and introduce process documentation in line with the company BMS, • Quote job requests for lead-time and cost, • Manage the introduction of new manufacturing capability into the workshop, • Drive continuous improvement and waste reduction programmes, • Support Quality with metrology methods and non-conformance investigations, • Produce 3D models, drawings, and fixture/work-holding designs What We're Looking For: • Minimum 10 years' experience as a Manufacturing Engineer or Supervisor, • Strong background in a subcontract machine shop and precision engineering environment, • High-level CNC programming competency in Fanuc/Heidenhain languages, covering both turning and milling (ideally up to 5-axis/3+2), • Experience in 3D modelling, ideally Solidworks and Visi/VISI CAM, • Strong knowledge of GD&T and drawing standards, • Solid understanding of materials, metrology, surface treatments, and hardness methods, • Knowledge of tooling, fixtures, and Lean manufacturing principles, • HNC in Mechanical Engineering, • Experience within Aerospace & Automotive sectors, including APQP/PFMEA, • Knowledge of ISO9001/AS9100 standards desirable What's On Offer: • Salary up to £60,000, • Permanent, senior-level position with a well-established precision engineering employer, • A key role shaping manufacturing processes and driving continuous improvement across the business Interested in finding out more?
