Security Consultant Public Sector & Defence Location: Flexible across the UK (Client travel required) Salary: Competitive + Excellent Benefits Are you passionate about helping secure some of the UK's most critical organisations? We're recruiting on behalf of a leading global technology and consulting organisation for an experienced Security Consultant to join a growing Cyber Security practice delivering high-profile projects across the Public Sector, Healthcare, Defence and Central Government. This is an excellent opportunity to work on large-scale digital transformation programmes, advising clients on secure solution design, risk management and security architecture while working alongside some of the industry's leading cyber security professionals. The Role As a Security Consultant, you'll play a key role in designing and advising on secure technology solutions across complex environments. You'll work closely with technical teams, architects and senior stakeholders to ensure security is embedded throughout the delivery lifecycle. Key responsibilities include: • Designing security architectures for complex IT and digital transformation programmes., • Providing cyber security advice across large-scale technology initiatives., • Advising on regulatory and security frameworks including ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR and PCI-DSS., • Conducting security risk assessments and communicating risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders., • Identifying vulnerabilities within solution architectures and recommending appropriate mitigations., • Supporting secure-by-design principles across cloud, infrastructure and enterprise technologies., • Researching emerging threats and innovative security solutions.About You: We're looking for someone with a strong technical security background who enjoys solving complex challenges and working with clients. You'll ideally have experience with: • Cyber security principles, governance and risk management., • Security architecture and secure solution design., • Identity & Access Management (IAM/IDAM), Privileged Access Management (PAM), Single Sign-On (SSO), network security and encryption technologies., • Threat modelling and reference architecture development., • Cloud and/or network security., • Working within large enterprise or public sector environments., • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
