The Business Resilience Team (BRT)Protective Intelligence & Deputy Travel Risk ManagerThe opportunityThe Business Resilience Team (BRT) is responsible for health and safety, accessibility, physical security, business continuity management, travel risk management, incident and crisis management and the provision of security support to government and MOD contracts. The Protective Intelligence & Risk Manager/Deputy Travel Risk Manager operates to continuously improve EY UK&I’s protective intelligence and travel risk capability, providing horizon scanning, threat assessment, traveller support, incident response, stakeholder, Leadership briefings and post-incident learning to protect EY people, travellers, offices, assets and business operations. This role will report to the Travel Risk Manager but will work closely will the Business Resilience Leader (Director) and the function heads within the BRT. You will be responsible for: Drawing on a wide range of open sources provide written and verbal threat and risk assessments relating to geopolitical issues, travel, property, assets, business activities, and people – the threats, hazards and the disruptive events will be various, including but not limited to pandemic, crime, protest, single interest groups, extreme weather, utilities failure and monitoring open-source intelligence on major security incidentsMaintain and evolve an Intelligence Collection Plan to support the BRT Risk Register and Firm’s business objectivesDefine, regularly update and implement the Intelligence Cycle and underpinning processes and toolsSupport the Travel Risk Manager prepare and support travellers for their trips overseas some to high and extreme risk locationsProvide protective intelligence and risk assessment support to crisis management, business continuity and emergency response planning throughout the businessSupport the development and running of security, business continuity and physical security testing and exercisesYour key responsibilitiesProvide oversight and operational support on global and domestic events that impact the UK&I firm and employeesRisk identification and analysis - you will be a key contributor by sharing trend analysis, data, open source information on international and domestic security and travel risksWorking under pressure during geopolitical events affecting personnelCollaborate at an operational level with internal stakeholders of all levels of seniority to support them with travel securityMaintain and enhance protective intelligence tools, dashboards, supplier feeds, collection plans and reporting processesProvide day-to-day tasking, quality review and operational direction for EY’s dedicated senior intelligence analyst embedded with the third-party security provideDevelop realistic scenarios for use in exercises to test the firm’s business continuity and crisis management processesDeputise for the Travel Risk Manager and support the operational delivery of travel risk management, high-risk travel, traveller monitoring, travel risk policy compliance, incident and crisis responseDeliver briefings to Leadership. stakeholders from across the UK&I firm on key issues and developments with the potential to impact their engagement work and/or locationsProduce and maintain recurring and ad hoc protective intelligence products, including weekly intelligence and travel briefings, monthly activism reviews, online sentiment monitoring and threat assessmentsTo qualify for the role, you must have Experience managing the Intelligence Cycle Excellent research – specifically making assessments, written and verbal briefing skillsAdvanced relationship building and networking skillsExperience in leading and oversight of business resilience at a senior levelIncident and crisis management experienceKnowledge and experience of crisis management and business continuity planning, travel security, and working in a crisis management teamExcellent communication and IT skills, including O365 and AIStrong analytical and logical skills with the ability to deal with problems in a practical and common-sense wayAbility to work in a complex, matrixed organisationAbility to establish a high degree of credibility, respect and trust at all levels, including with senior partners of the firmExperience of delivering major projects and change managementEffective planning and organising skills to prioritise key areas of responsibility, tasks and projects; and A deep understanding of the business of a global professional services organisation, and an appreciation of its culture.Ideally, you’ll also havePolice or military intelligence experience, or A Degree or higher in a related area e.g. Terrorism, Security Data management and exploitation experienceOpen Source (OSINT) and Social Media (SOCMINT) exploitation experienceExperience in intelligence tools and SaaS Experience of working within a Big 4 environmentExperience in being part of a close-knit teamThe ability to work in an organisation which strongly believes in Diversity, Equity & InclusivenessEY | Building a better working world EY is building a better working world by creating new value for clients, people, society and the planet, while building trust in capital markets.Enabled by data, AI and advanced technology, EY teams help clients shape the future with confidence and develop answers for the most pressing issues of today and tomorrow.EY teams work across a full spectrum of services in assurance, consulting, tax, strategy and transactions.
