Initially a 3 month fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension, based on site in Wrexham. \n \n Role Overview: \n\n • To ensure that all customer specifications, pack copies and artwork are accurately set up and relevant customer documentation is produced in line with critical path timescales and launch deadlines.\n, • To drive compliance and continuous improvement in:\n, • Specification completion.\n, • Artwork process for checking and sign off.\n, • Stage & Gate Process\n\n \n Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities: \n\n • Ensure due diligence and take into consideration timescales, company procedures, legislation along with customer codes of practices.\n, • Set up, for approval, all external customer specifications or relevant technical information in accordance with customer specification requirements\n, • Ensure compliance with updated customer technical policies, current labelling standards and include all regulatory changes that will impact back of pack information\n, • Follow the Group Stage and Gate process, ensuring this is followed and attend the required meetings for your customers.\n, • Communication with all relevant internal departments and external parties to ensure that specification compliance is achieved within realistic timescales.\n, • Attend all relevant internal and external customer meetings relating to the customers that you deliver specifications for.\n, • To work with the other specification technologists to be able to deliver all customer requirements across the group, so we have at least 2 trained team members for every customer.\n, • The responsibility for managing the review of artwork to ensure that all pack information is accurate and in line with the technical labelling policies.\n, • To issue outer case labels and maintain the archive for all of the sites.\n\n \n\n • Complete 1-2 Internal audits at each site under the direction of the Group Technical Services Manager and Group Audit Manager. Support as part of the internal audit team.\n, • To ensure that Oscar Mayer site documentation is completed for all aspects related to specification process.\n, • Any other duties or projects as agreed with the Group Technical Services Manager.\n\n \n Required Experience and Qualifications: \n Qualification \n\n • Food Safety Level 3 as a minimum\n, • HACCP Level 3 as a minimum\n, • Labelling Qualification / Training\n, • Food Law Qualification (desirable)\n\n Knowledge & Experience \n\n • Worked in specifications for a minimum of 2 years.\n, • 2 years’ experience within Chilled Manufacturing (High Care and / or High Risk).\n, • Understands customer specification systems (retailers)\n, • Understands specification systems (branded desirable)\n\n \n Skills and Attributes \n\n • Good organisational skills and communication skills\n, • To always adhere to company values\n, • To be punctual and accurate\n, • As a representative of the company to perform duties in a professional, timely manner and complying with relevant timetables\n, • To be proactive, constantly looking for new and better ways to perform your duties\n, • To communicate problems and ask assistance from your line manager as required\n, • To be courteous and to treat others as you would like to be treated yourself\n, • To be part of the team\n, • Confidentially of company information\n, • Awareness and compliance with company policy on health and safety and food safety\n, • To highlight any issues which could compromise an employee’s personal safety or risk\n\n \n Please note: This job description outlines the core responsibilities and duties of the role.
