Job Description ROSE STATE COLLEGE ANNOUNCES AN OPENING IN INSTITUTIONAL RESEARCH POSITION: Coordinator, Institutional Research Description of Duties: Support institutional effectiveness by collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and reporting data that informs planning, assessment, accreditation, compliance, and strategic decision-making. This position reports to the Director of Institutional Research and coordinates institutional research activities, assists with the development of reports and dashboards, and ensures data quality, and collaborates with departments across the college to provide accurate, timely, and actionable information. Coordinate institutional research projects that support strategic planning, enrollment management, student success initiatives, program reviews, and institutional effectiveness. College, validate, analyze, and interpret data from multiple institutional data sources. Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports for internal stakeholders, executive leadership, governing boards, and external agencies. Support accreditation processes by providing data, analyses, and documentation required for self-studies and annual reporting. Coordinate required state, federal, and national reporting, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely submission. Conduct statistical analyses to evaluate institutional performance, student outcomes, enrollment trends, retention, graduation, and other key metrics. Collaborate with academic and administrative departments to identify data needs and provide analytical support for planning and decision-making. Assist with survey design, administration, analysis, and reporting for institutional assessments and stakeholder feedback. Maintain documentation of research methodologies, reporting procedures, and data definitions. Promote data governance by ensuring consistency, integrity, confidentiality, and appropriate use of institutional data. Stay informed of emerging trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to institutional research and higher education analytics. Regular attendance is an essential function of this position. Act as a recording secretary for meetings as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Associate degree or equivalent. One (1) year of research, analytics, assessment, higher education administration or related role collecting and analyzing data. Accurate proofreading and editing skills. Excellent telephone etiquette, written and oral communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Proficiency with computers and MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Ability to work independently, exercise discretion when working with confidential information, and manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines. Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy. Experience with student information systems such as Banner, Colleague, or PeopleSoft. Knowledge of accreditation standards, institutional effectiveness, and higher education reporting requirements. Moderate lifting up to 10 lbs. and moderate carrying up to 10 lbs. Ability to reach above shoulder. Periods of time spent sitting, standing, and walking. Manual dexterity sufficient to type. Desired Qualifications: Knowledge of institutional research principles, assessment methodologies, and higher education metrics, data governance, and data quality practices. Ability to interpret software such as SPSS, SAS, R, or Python. Experience with SQL, relational databases, Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence tools.
