Job Description Weekend Shift 5:00am-5:30pm (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) Job Description This role focuses on assembling and testing insulin pumps in a cleanroom production environment on a weekend shift schedule. You work at designated pump stations on a manufacturing line, performing electromechanical assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and data entry to meet daily output and quality metrics. You follow detailed work instructions and standard operating procedures, maintain accurate documentation, and help ensure a clean, safe, and efficient workspace. Responsibilities • Work in the pump department assembling insulin pumps on a manufacturing line with designated workstations., • Perform manual electromechanical assembly duties using small hand tools and other equipment as required., • Operate within a cleanroom production environment, following all applicable standard operating procedures (SOPs)., • Use a computer regularly to enter and log data, complete training modules, and manage documentation., • Receive, test, and inspect new and returned pumps according to established procedures and quality standards., • Become certified on three different pump stations and rotate across stations as needed., • Perform testing and basic troubleshooting on pumps and related components to ensure proper function., • Review batch records and monitor documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with GMP and medical device requirements., • Follow work instructions carefully and maintain high attention to detail while working at a fast pace., • Support packaging and inspection activities related to medical device production as needed., • Collaborate with team members on the line to complete assemblies and meet daily output and performance metrics., • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, promptly addressing any safety or quality concerns., • Demonstrate consistent attendance and reliability by showing up on time for all scheduled weekend shifts., • Be flexible and willing to be cross-trained in different departments and stations, taking on any task required to support production goals. Essential Skills • Ability to follow detailed work instructions and standard operating procedures from any industry., • Comfort and proficiency working on computers, including data entry, training, and documentation., • Strong attention to detail, especially when monitoring machines and moving between different stations., • Reliability and strong attendance, consistently showing up to work on time for weekend shifts., • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production or manufacturing environment., • Capability to use small hand tools for mechanical and electromechanical assembly tasks., • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively in a line-based environment., • Willingness to be cross-trained in multiple stations and departments and to perform a variety of tasks., • Good work ethic, including willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done safely and correctly., • Trainability and openness to learning new processes, tools, and systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Previous experience in a fast-paced environment such as food service, manufacturing, or production is highly desirable., • Experience working in a cleanroom environment is beneficial., • Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards and medical device production processes is a plus., • Experience with inspection, packaging, and general mechanical work is helpful., • Demonstrated ability to adapt to different stations and tasks while maintaining quality and efficiency., • Proven track record as a team player who supports colleagues and contributes to a positive work culture. Work Environment This position is based in a cleanroom production setting within a pump department, working on a manufacturing line with clearly defined workstations. You work closely with a team and must be comfortable in a loud environment with ongoing machinery noise. The role requires extensive use of computers for training and documentation, as well as regular use of small hand tools for assembly and testing. The schedule is a weekend shift, Friday through Sunday, with 12-hour shifts from approximately 5:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The environment emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and adherence to SOPs and GMP standards while maintaining a fast-paced, team-oriented atmosphere. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of San Diego, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
