Amentum is seeking a skilled professional to serve as the Office Administrator at our Houston, Texas office. The Houston office is a key element of the U.S. Navy's launch test facilities Research and Development (R&D) program. This R&D program is a top priority for our nation and supports both U.S. Navy Submarine and Surface Ship weapons system capability testing. This specific role is critical to ensuring the day-to-day operation of the Houston office. This role will also provide key support functions to the R&D program as a whole. Key Responsibilities: • Act as the primary point of accountability for the effective operation and presentation of the Houston office., • Coordinate office services including facilities, access, security, meeting rooms, and visitor management., • Liaise with Amentum Real Estate team, landlords, property managers, and service providers to ensure issues are promptly resolved., • Maintain office readiness for leadership visits, customer engagements, audits, and external stakeholders., • Oversee general office supplies, contracts, and basic budget tracking related to office operations. General Administration • Provide ad hoc administrative, coordination, and project support as required by leadership., • Act as an effective gatekeeper, managing competing priorities, anticipating issues, and ensuring time is focused on high value activities., • Support the team with meeting coordination, agenda preparation, action tracking, and follow up., • Prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, and executive submissions with a high standard of accuracy and judgement., • Support coordination of meetings, offsite/site visits, and key internal events, including logistics and materials., • Support team travel bookings, expense claims and conduct monthly reconciliations (as necessary)., • Build strong relationships across the business to facilitate smooth information flow and issue resolution. Governance, Compliance & Security Support • Submit badge requests and visit requests for team members as necessary in support of program requirements., • Support compliance with corporate, Defense, and government security requirements (e.g. visitor protocols, document handling, secure meetings)., • Maintain controlled records, registers, and documentation in accordance with internal management system requirements., • Support audits, reviews, and inspections by ensuring documentation, scheduling, and office arrangements are in order., • Handle sensitive information with discretion, professionalism, and sound judgement. Required Qualifications: • At least (4) years experience as a receptionist, office manager, office lead, or facility lead., • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment., • Demonstrated administrative experience supporting senior leaders, internal teams, and customers., • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)., • Professional communication skills, both written and verbal., • Proven ability to work autonomously while maintaining strong alignment with leadership intent., • Strong attention to detail with the ability to see the broader organizational context., • Strong judgement, discretion, and ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information. Preferred Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Program Management or other related degree fields., • Experience working with Real Estate team, landlords, property managers, and service providers., • Experience in a Defense, government, engineering, or regulated professional services environment., • Familiarity with DoD security requirements (e.g. badging, visit requests, and security admin functions)., • Current DoD Secret (or Higher) security clearance., • Experience with Amentum processes/procedures. Security & Clearance: • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S government security clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a U.S government security clearance. Work Environment: • This position is based on-site in Houston, TX. Less than 10% travel is expected with this position. On the rare occasions travel would be required, it is typically planned well in advance. Compensation Details: $75,000.00 The compensation range or hourly rate listed for this position is provided as a good-faith estimate of what the company intends to offer for this role at the time this posting was issued.
