This position will work directly with commercial building automation systems across a variety of facilities and projects. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to continue developing their BAS/DDC expertise while working with an experienced local team and a variety of controls technologies. What You'll Do • Install, troubleshoot, service, and maintain Building Automation Systems (BAS/BMS), • Perform startup and checkout of HVAC control systems and equipment, • Troubleshoot controllers, sensors, actuators, relays, VFDs, and other control devices, • Diagnose communication and network issues within BAS/DDC systems, • Work with HVAC equipment including AHUs, RTUs, VAVs, chillers, boilers, pumps, and central plant systems, • Perform point-to-point checkout and verify proper system operation, • Assist with controller programming, system configuration, and sequence verification, • Work with BACnet and other building communication protocols, • Support new installations, system upgrades, retrofits, and service projects, • Read and interpret control drawings, wiring diagrams, sequences of operation, and mechanical plans, • Identify system issues and recommend solutions that improve comfort, reliability, and energy efficiency, • Communicate directly with customers and provide clear updates on system issues and repairs, • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, electricians, mechanical contractors, and other trades in the field What We're Looking For • Experience with HVAC controls, DDC, BAS/BMS, commercial HVAC, or building automation, • Strong understanding of HVAC equipment and mechanical systems, • Ability to troubleshoot electrical and low-voltage control systems, • Familiarity with BAS controllers, sensors, actuators, VFDs, and control panels, • Experience reading wiring diagrams and control drawings, • Understanding of BACnet/IP, BACnet MS/TP, or similar communication protocols, • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, • Comfortable working independently in the field and directly with customers, • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer sites within the assigned territory Experience That Stands Out Experience with any of the following is a plus: Schneider Electric / EcoStruxure • Tridium Niagara N4 • Johnson Controls Facility Explorer (FX) • BACnet • Modbus • DDC Controls • HVAC Controls • Building Automation • VFDs • Chillers • Boilers • AHUs • RTUs • VAVs Interested in hearing more?
