Location: California Start Date: ASAP Contract Length: 13 Weeks (Extensions Likely) Schedule Options: 3240 Hours Per Week Pay Rate: $25.00 per Hour Openings: 2 Temp-to-Perm Opportunity Available We are seeking compassionate and motivated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join a growing Enhanced Behavioral Support Home (EBSH) serving adults with developmental disabilities. FridayMonday 2:00 PM 10:00 PM 32 hours per week SundayThursday or TuesdaySaturday 6:00 AM 2:00 PM 40 hours per week Be sure to indicate your preferred schedule when applying. • Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour, • Overtime Pay: 1.5x hourly rate, • Weekly pay available, • Competitive pay, • Temp-to-perm career pathway, • CPI training provided during onboarding, • Work alongside experienced RBTs and BCBA leadership, • Meaningful community engagement activities, • Small residential setting with individualized support, • Opportunities to earn DSP I, DSP II, and RBT certifications, • Collaborative and supportive team culture Greater Heights is a specialized Enhanced Behavioral Support Home (EBSH) providing 24-hour, non-medical residential services for adults with developmental disabilities who benefit from intensive behavioral supports. The home currently serves a small number of residents, allowing staff to provide highly individualized care and support. DSPs work closely with Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), and facility leadership to help residents achieve greater independence and quality of life. • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), • Promote independence and self-care skills, • Support community integration and engagement activities, • Assist with meal preparation and healthy cooking, • Implement behavior support strategies and positive reinforcement techniques, • Accurately collect and document behavioral data and progress notes, • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members, • Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements, • Ensure a safe, supportive, and respectful environment for all residents, • Follow established protocols for behavioral challenges and crisis intervention Some residents may engage in behaviors such as elopement attempts, self-injurious behaviors, or other challenging behaviors. Comprehensive training and ongoing support will be provided to ensure staff feel prepared and confident managing these situations safely. • Minimum of 6 months' experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities within the past year Personal family caregiving experience may be considered, • Previous employment at a California DSS-licensed facility (such as an ARF) within the last 3 years, • Current CPR Certification, • Current First Aid Certification, • Passion for helping others and creating positive outcomes, • Strong communication and teamwork skills The first 35 shifts will include: • CPI Certification Training, • Hands-on shadowing, • Facility orientation, • Operational training DSPs will be expected to obtain: • DSP I Certification, • DSP II Certification, • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification within one year of their start date. • Virtual interview with an Amergis Recruiter or Business Development Manager (approximately 30 minutes), • Virtual interview with the Facility Administrator (approximately 30 minutes) Site tours will be provided on the first day after hire. • Dress Code: Business Casual, • Timekeeping System: MaxView, • First Day Instructions: Provided upon clearance, • Background Check: Community Care Licensing Live Scan clearance required before start Please submit: • Current Resume, • Preferred Schedule/Shift, • Interview Availability If you're passionate about supporting adults with developmental disabilities and are looking for a rewarding role with growth potential, competitive pay, and the opportunity to make a lasting impact, we'd love to hear from you. The Direct Support Personnel I assists individuals with intellectual disabilities or mental health challenges with growth and development of interpersonal skills and activities of daily living in the home, community or residential setting. The Direct Support Personnel I works directly with the resident and provides supports for activities of daily living and adaptive skills. The Direct Support Personnel I should follow the guidance of the resident/ patients Individual Service Plan.
