    GENERAL MANAGER – BASRAH LOUNGE We are looking for an experienced, confident and highly organised General Manager to take full responsibility for the day-to-day operation of Basrah Lounge. This is a senior management position. We need someone who can lead from the front, manage a large team, maintain high standards and take ownership of the business when the owners are not present. Key Responsibilities • Lead, manage and motivate the entire restaurant and lounge team., • Manage supervisors, assistant managers, front-of-house, kitchen and support staff., • Ensure every department is properly staffed and operating efficiently., • Prepare and manage staff rotas while controlling labour costs., • Recruit, train, develop and performance-manage employees., • Deal professionally with staff issues, complaints and disciplinary matters., • Maintain excellent standards of customer service and guest experience., • Handle customer complaints and resolve problems quickly and professionally., • Ensure food hygiene, health & safety, licensing and company procedures are followed at all times., • Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness throughout the premises., • Monitor sales, staffing costs, wastage and other key operating costs., • Review daily and weekly performance and identify areas requiring improvement., • Monitor cash handling, till procedures, voids, discounts and end-of-day reporting., • Manage stock levels, ordering and supplier relationships., • Oversee busy weekends, events and entertainment nights., • Carry out regular management meetings and communicate clear expectations to the team., • Ensure opening and closing procedures are completed correctly., • Identify problems before they become serious and take responsibility for resolving them., • Report directly to the owners with clear updates on performance, staffing, customer feedback and any operational concerns. What We Are Looking For The successful candidate should have strong previous General Manager or senior restaurant management experience, preferably within a high-volume restaurant, lounge or hospitality venue.
