CNC Miller – Aerospace Components \n Sheffield \n Shift Patters / Working Hours: \n Days (38 hours): Monday - Thursday: 7:15am - 16:00pm & Fridays 7:15am - 12:15pm. \n Nights (40 hours): Monday - Wednesday: 18:00pm - 6:00am & Thursdays 16:00pm - 20:00pm \n Night working hours are paid at a premium of x1.5 \n day/nights are alternate each week \n Are you an experienced CNC Miller looking to work with cutting-edge aerospace materials in a precision-driven environment? We’re seeking a skilled machinist to join a dynamic production team, manufacturing high-spec components for the aerospace sector. \n About the Role \n As a CNC Miller, you’ll be responsible for machining small batch, high-precision components using a variety of CNC machines and controls. You’ll work with exotic materials such as titanium, Jethete, and nickel-based alloys, ensuring all parts meet strict aerospace standards. \n Key Responsibilities \n\n • Operate CNC milling machines to tight tolerances on fixture-based work.\n, • Read and interpret complex engineering drawings.\n, • Work with various CNC controls (Heidenhain, Fanuc, Siemens).\n, • Use manual measuring equipment (micrometers, internal/external gauges).\n, • Handle aerospace components with care and precision.\n, • Maintain a clean and organised work area.\n, • Support machine maintenance and TPM checks.\n, • Collaborate with team members to meet production targets.\n\n Person Specification \n\n • Proven experience in CNC milling across multiple machine types.\n, • Strong understanding of Health & Safety practices.\n, • Good numeracy, literacy, and computer skills.\n, • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.\n, • Positive attitude towards continuous improvement and 5S.\n, • Willingness to work overtime when required.\n, • Experience with SPC charts and self-inspection.\n, • Confidence in leading small teams or prioritising workloads.\n, • Resilience under pressure and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.\n, • Reliable, diligent, and committed to quality.\n, • Honest and respectful, with strong communication skills.\n, • Supportive team player who upholds company values.\n\n Benefits: \n\n • Westfield Health and Rewards\n, • Pension (employee 3% and employer 6%)\n, • Death in Service (x2 salary)\n, • 35 days annual holiday\n, • Internal benefit and reward scheme i.e. cheers for peers rewards, employee of the year and refer a friend schemes.\n, • On site parking\n, • Company sick pay\n, • Appointment allowance\n\n
