Maintenance Electrician\n Location: SheffieldSalary: Up to £43,000Shift: Days Only | Early Finish Thursday | Even Earlier Finish Friday \n Are you an Electrician/Electrical Maintenance Engineer looking for a permanent days-based role offering an excellent work-life balance? Our client is a well-established manufacturing business seeking a skilled engineer to join their experienced maintenance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work Monday to Friday with early finishes towards the end of the week, while earning up to £43,000. The Role\n As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of production machinery through planned and reactive maintenance. You'll play a key role in minimising downtime and supporting continuous improvement across the site. Key Responsibilities\n\n • Carry out electrical installation, maintenance and repair of industrial machinery and equipment.\n, • Diagnose and rectify electrical faults on motors, conveyors, control panels and associated equipment.\n, • Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to maximise machine reliability.\n, • Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical documentation.\n, • Assist with machinery upgrades, installations and improvement projects.\n, • Support production by responding to equipment breakdowns efficiently.\n, • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.\n, • Ensure all work is completed in line with Health & Safety legislation and electrical standards.\n, • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the engineering department.\nThe Candidate\n The successful candidate will ideally possess: \n\n • Level 3 Electrical Engineering qualification (essential).\n, • Apprentice trained (preferred).\n, • Experience working within a manufacturing or industrial environment.\n, • Previous machining and/or automotive industry experience would be advantageous.\n, • CNC machinery maintenance experience is desirable.\n, • PLC fault-finding experience would be beneficial but is not essential.\n, • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.\n, • A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.\nWhat's On Offer?\n\n, • Salary up to £43,000\n, • Permanent day shift\n, • Early finish every Thursday\n, • Even earlier finish every Friday\n, • Excellent work-life balance\n, • Stable, growing manufacturing business\n, • Ongoing training and development opportunities\n, • Company pension and additional benefits\n\n If you're an Electrical Maintenance Engineer looking for a days-based position with a great working pattern and long-term career prospects, we'd love to hear from you.
