Mechanical Fitter \n Location: Sheffield \n Compensation: OTE £40,000 – £50,000 per year \n Hours: Full-Time \n Driving License Required (6 points or Less) \n A growing and well-established engineering service business is seeking a Mechanical Fitter to join its Sheffield team. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically minded candidate looking to build a long-term career with full training, recognised qualifications, and strong earning potential. \n Previous experience with hydraulics or hydraulic hoses would be advantageous, although candidates with general mechanical aptitude and a strong work ethic are encouraged to apply. \n The Role \n Following an initial fully paid two-week training program, the successful candidate will gain a City & Guilds qualification and receive the tools and support needed to succeed in the role. \n Once trained, the candidate will operate a company van, attending customer sites across the region to repair and maintain machinery, delivering high levels of service and technical support. \n Key Responsibilities \n\n • Attend customer call-outs to diagnose and repair machinery\n, • Install, service, and replace hydraulic hoses and related components\n, • Promote company products and services to existing and prospective customers\n, • Maintain stock levels within the company service vehicle\n, • Carry out routine vehicle checks and ensure the van is clean, organised, and fully operational\n, • Complete all relevant paperwork and technical documentation accurately\n, • Support colleagues across the wider business when required\n, • Adhere to all health & safety policies and PPE requirements\n\n Candidate Requirements \n\n • Mechanical fitting / maintenance experience or strong mechanical aptitude\n, • Experience with hydraulics or hoses advantageous but not essential\n, • Full UK driving licence required\n, • Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)\n, • Strong communication and customer service skills\n, • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively\n, • Good manual dexterity and practical problem-solving skills\n, • Professional and reliable attitude\n\n What’s On Offer \n\n • OTE £40,000 – £50,000 per year\n, • Fully funded City & Guilds qualification\n, • Paid training programme\n, • Company van and tools provided\n, • Strong progression opportunities – many senior leaders progressed internally\n, • Stable, growing business with long-term career prospects\n\n Apply Now \n This is an urgent requirement, and suitable applicants will be contacted promptly. \n If you are mechanically minded and looking for a career with progression, training, and strong earnings, this is an excellent opportunity.
