The Opportunity We are looking for an Employability Trainer to join our Halesowen training headquarters. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in employability, adult learning or learner support who wants to develop specialist knowledge of the traffic management sector. You do not need previous traffic management experience. You will be supported by an experienced member of our training team and provided with comprehensive training, established course materials and tried-and-tested programmes. Your role will be to combine your existing employability expertise with our specialist traffic management programmes, helping unemployed learners gain qualifications, confidence and the skills required to progress into employment. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging employability and traffic management training to unemployed adult learners. Introduce learners to the traffic management industry, including Chapter 8 principles and relevant street and road works guidance. Support learners to achieve industry-recognised traffic management qualifications. Deliver classroom-based group training and one-to-one learner support. Complete initial and ongoing learner assessments and individual development plans. Deliver CV writing, interview preparation, job-search and workplace-readiness activities. Identify and support learners to overcome barriers to employment. Monitor learner attendance, progress, achievement and progression. Maintain accurate learner records in line with contractual and quality requirements. Provide constructive feedback and motivate learners throughout their programme. Support safeguarding, health and safety, equality, diversity and data protection requirements. Work collaboratively with the wider Vocation Training team to achieve strong learner and employment outcomes. What We're Looking For /Essential Recognised teaching qualification, such as Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET/PTLLS), Cert Ed or equivalent. Experience delivering training to post-16/adult learners. Experience working with unemployed learners or individuals facing barriers to employment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organisation and record-keeping skills. Ability to motivate and engage learners from a wide range of backgrounds. A genuine passion for helping people progress. Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle. Traffic Management Experience? • Not required., • This is one of the key benefits of the role.
