We work closely with various known housing associations, local councils as well as catering to the private sector such as schools, hotels, care homes and commercial building. \n \n Role Purpose: \n Reporting directly to the Head of Governance, the Environmental & Supply Chain Coordinator will support the day-to-day operation and continual improvement of the environmental management and supply-chain control framework. The role combines environmental coordination, supplier and subcontractor assurance, purchasing and cost controls, waste and materials management, data analysis, management reporting and support for the company ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS). \n \n This is a graduate / early-career development role. The postholder is not expected to arrive with full independent ownership experience across every area of the specification. Mentorship, structured on-the-job coaching and role-specific training will be provided where required. The expectation is that the successful candidate will build competence quickly and take increasing responsibility as knowledge and confidence develop. \n \n The postholder will also support the company programme to establish an organisational greenhouse-gas inventory and reporting framework aligned with ISO 14064-1, helping the business progress towards consistent, evidence-based and externally verifiable carbon reporting. \n \n Success in the role will depend on curiosity, accuracy, initiative and follow-through. The postholder should be comfortable working with data, asking questions, investigating discrepancies, maintaining evidence and escalating risks or delays rather than allowing actions to drift. \n \n Core accountabilities: \n\n • ISO 14001 Environmental Management System coordination\n, • Support the ISO 14064-1 greenhouse-gas reporting programme\n, • Approved Supplier List and supplier governance\n, • Supplier and subcontractor onboarding, assurance and offboarding\n, • Purchasing, purchase-order and financial control\n, • Materials, unused parts, van audits, stock and waste control\n, • Data analysis, Excel and management reporting\n, • Environmental operational control and improvement\n, • Training, portals and audit evidence\n\n \n Key Responsibilities: \n\n • Support the day-to-day coordination and continual improvement of ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, including documentation, audits, corrective actions, compliance records and management reporting.\n, • Support development of ISO 14064-1 greenhouse-gas inventory and reporting framework, including data collection, emission calculations, source records and dashboards.\n, • Maintain the Approved Supplier List, supplier due diligence, compliance records, performance ratings, reviews and corrective actions.\n, • Coordinate supplier and subcontractor onboarding, assurance, performance monitoring and offboarding.\n, • Support purchasing and financial controls, including purchase orders, invoice queries, credits, rebates, recoveries and cost discrepancies.\n, • Coordinate materials, unused parts, stock, engineer van audits, PPE and waste controls.\n, • Analyse supplier spend, purchasing, labour, materials, waste, carbon and operational data to identify cost savings, risks and improvement opportunities.\n, • Build and maintain Excel trackers, dashboards and management reports, ensuring data is accurate, reconciled and supported by evidence.\n, • Monitor environmental performance covering fuel, energy, waste, packaging, chemicals, refrigerants and spill prevention.\n, • Maintain audit-ready records and support customer, accreditation and compliance portals.\n, • Coordinate relevant training, supplier meetings, audits and operational reviews.\n\n \n About You: \n Essential \n\n • Degree or equivalent qualification in environmental management, sustainability, supply chain, procurement, business/operations, data/analytics, engineering, geography or a related discipline.\n, • Strong interest in environmental management, sustainability, supply chain or operational improvement.\n, • Good practical Excel and data-analysis skills, including formulas, lookups, PivotTables, data cleaning and reporting.\n, • Strong organisation, attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines and follow actions through.\n, • Ability to investigate problems, analyse information and communicate findings clearly.\n, • Professional communication skills and confidence working with internal and external stakeholders.\n, • Full UK driving licence.\n, • Ability to work fully from the Harrow Weald office; hybrid or remote working is not available.\n\n \n Desirable \n\n • Exposure to ISO 14001, ISO 14064-1, carbon accounting or sustainability reporting.\n, • Experience or knowledge of procurement, supplier management, waste compliance or environmental legislation.\n, • Power Query, Power BI, Power Pivot or advanced Excel experience.\n, • Relevant placement, internship, dissertation or project experience.\n, • Membership of IEMA, CIPS, IoSCM or a similar professional body.\n

Buyer – tier 1 developer – Watford – flexible working £50k - £55k + package I am currently seeking a Buyer for my client, a tier 1 developer, based out of their Kings Langley office. The client have a hybrid way of working which assumes that where roles allow, the office-based colleagues divide their time between working in the office, on construction sites and sales offices, and working from home, as the role dictates. The split is typically 3 days in the office, 1 day on site and 1 day working from home. With a watching brief on choice of materials, cost, customer satisfaction and sales, their Commercial team has one objective, to deliver best quality homes, at the best possible cost. The Buyers’ work is fundamental to the continued viability as a business and presents a fast-moving challenge that will exercise your creativity and commercial flair to the full. Reporting to the Senior Buyer, you will manage an efficient materials purchasing process on at least two sites, which will be large scale traditional build housing developments. The division are in a fantastic position having multiple live sites with numerous sites starting in the near future, having secured land and planning applications being successful. They currently have a commercial team of in excess of 20, which consists of Quantity Surveyors, Estimators and Materials Buyers, with the buying team currently at a head count of 3 and soon to be 4. You will be expected to: • Prepare all procurement duties and exercises, • Be aware of new materials to the market which would assist the business, • Schedule and place material and plant orders with Group National Suppliers where appropriate or general suppliers, optimising cost and quality., • Check Architects/Engineers drawings for discrepancies and compliance with the required material specification., • Resolve any queries with the relevant consultants/Technical department., • Ensure correct specifications are being used, • Project and report material cost increases as they arise, • Carry out material on site checks and produce reports as required, • Produce material cost schedules and budgets with cost codes for new sites and as required, • Review material cost codes to ensure budgets are not exceeded, • Produce schedules for material enquiries, • Provide site material accruals on a monthly basis, • Compile quarterly material valuations for presentation to the Surveyor, • Resolve invoice queries with the Accounts department, • Attend site weekly to ensure there are no problems with supplies and/or materials This is a fantastic opportunity with a 5* housebuilder, offering flexible working in addition to excellent prospects for progression
