e are working in partnership with a growing, forward-thinking care provider as they prepare to open their very first Ofsted-registered childrens home in Cambridgeshire.Whats on OfferSalary of £55,000 £65,000 (depending on experience)Opportunity to lead a brand-new home from inception to Ofsted registrationSupport from an experienced Responsible IndividualAutonomy to shape the culture, team, and direction of the homeClear progression opportunities as the organisation growsWith an established background in supported accommodation for young people, the organisation is now expanding into residential childcare and is seeking a passionate Registered Manager to lead the service from the very beginning.This is a rare opportunity to play a key role in launching a new home, shaping its culture, and building a high-quality, child-centred environment from the ground up.The Opportunity As Registered Manager, you will take full ownership of the registration and setup of the home, supported by an experienced Responsible Individual and senior leadership team.Youll have the autonomy to build your own team, implement your vision, and create a safe, nurturing environment where children can thrive.About the HomeLocation: CambridgeshireProperty: 6-bedroom residential propertyProposed Registration: 2-bed childrens homeClient Group: Children with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)Stage: Pre-registration (Ofsted application in progress)Growth Plans: Clear plans to expand following successful registrationKey ResponsibilitiesLead the Ofsted registration process and take full responsibility for the homeRecruit, develop, and lead a high-performing staff teamEnsure full compliance with Childrens Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality StandardsCreate a safe, stable, and nurturing environment for young peopleAct as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and embed strong safeguarding practicesDevelop and oversee care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour strategiesDrive the home towards achieving Good and Outstanding Ofsted outcomesBuild strong relationships with local authorities and partner agenciesManage budgets, resources, and overall performance of the serviceRequirementsExperience within childrens residential care (EBD experience preferred)Previous experience as a Registered Manager, or a strong Deputy Manager ready to step upLevel 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding frameworksConfident, resilient leader with a child-centred approachFull UK driving licenceIf youre an ambitious and values-led leader looking to build and lead a new childrens home, wed love to hear from you.
