Job Description Job Title: Structural Welder (Pulse Arc) - LOCATED IN GOOSE CREEK, SC Pay: $45/hr + $140 per diem Shift: Day/Night Shifts Available with OT Location: Goose Creek, SC Job Description This role performs a variety of processes on steel parts and assemblies, working to precise tolerances and following detailed engineering drawings and specifications. You will contribute to the fabrication of high-quality components while helping to maintain consistent quality standards through established control procedures. Responsibilities • Perform welding processes on aluminum and steel parts and assemblies to required tolerances using appropriate welding metals and metal alloys., • Interpret and follow engineering drawings, layouts, blueprints, and specifications to determine weld locations, sequence, and techniques., • Set up welding equipment and adjust parameters for pulse arc, MIG, and flux core welding processes as required for each job., • Lay out, fit, and position components and assemblies prior to welding to ensure accurate alignment and fit-up., • Inspect welds visually and, where applicable, using basic measurement tools to verify that work meets quality and dimensional requirements., • Monitor and verify product quality in accordance with statistical process controls or other established quality procedures., • Perform fabrication tasks related to welding, such as cutting, grinding, and preparing materials for weld operations., • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following all safety guidelines and procedures in the shop environment., • Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and team members to resolve issues related to weld quality, fit, or interpretation of drawings., • Document work performed as required, including recording measurements, inspection results, or process information. Essential Skills • Proven ability to perform welding processes on aluminum and steel parts and assemblies to tight tolerances., • Proficiency in reading and interpreting layouts, blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications., • Hands-on experience with pulse arc welding processes., • Hands-on experience with MIG welding processes., • Hands-on experience with flux core welding processes., • Strong fabrication skills, including fitting and assembling components prior to welding., • Ability to monitor and verify weld and product quality using statistical process or other control procedures., • Solid understanding of welding metals, metal alloys, and their appropriate applications., • Capability to work accurately and efficiently in a production shop environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience working in a multi-shift manufacturing or fabrication facility., • Comfort working with quality control procedures and documentation., • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work., • Ability to collaborate effectively with a team in a fast-paced shop environment. Work Environment This position is based in a shop environment at a newly acquired facility in the Charleston/Goose Creek area. You will work around welding and fabrication equipment, handling aluminum and steel components in a production setting. Multiple shifts are available, providing scheduling options within a structured manufacturing operation. The role involves standing for extended periods, working around noise and industrial equipment, and following all safety and protective equipment guidelines appropriate for a welding and fabrication facility. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Columbia, SC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $55.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
