Job Description Job Title: Welder. Competitive Pay, Hiring ASAP!! Job Description As a Welder, you will assemble and fabricate stainless steel components and larger assemblies, such as material handling hoppers and their supporting frameworks, using both MIG and TIG welding techniques. You will work with a variety of material thicknesses, typically ranging from light-gauge stainless steel up to 3/4-inch plate. Your role will involve completing final assembly, alignment, and welding of parts processed through laser cutting and forming operations. Additionally, you will perform finishing work such as grinding, smoothing, and polishing welds and fabricated products as required. Responsibilities • Assemble and fabricate stainless steel components using MIG and TIG welding techniques., • Work with various material thicknesses, including light-gauge stainless steel up to 3/4-inch plate., • Complete final assembly and welding of laser-cut and formed parts., • Perform finishing work such as grinding, smoothing, and polishing., • Operate and utilize common shop tools and equipment., • Follow established workplace safety practices., • Move materials, work-in-process, and finished products using powered industrial equipment., • Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills during fabrication. Essential Skills • High school diploma or equivalent., • Proven experience with MIG and TIG welding processes., • Ability to interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, and weld symbols., • Basic mathematical skills, including fractions, decimals, and geometry., • Knowledge of welding symbols and their application., • Capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Trade school training or fabrication education is preferred., • Two or more years of hands-on MIG and TIG welding experience is strongly preferred., • Experience with metal fabrication, grinding, polishing, or finishing is advantageous., • Current or previous welding certifications are beneficial but not mandatory., • Experience operating bridge cranes or overhead lifting equipment is a plus. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
