Job DescriptionJob Title: Warehouse WorkerJob Description The Warehouse Worker plays a key role in supporting production and distribution operations by handling, organizing, and preparing products within a busy warehouse environment. This position focuses on stacking, sorting, labeling, loading, unloading, and maintaining a clean and safe workspace to ensure efficient workflow and accurate order fulfillment. Responsibilities • Stack, sort, and label boxes accurately to support efficient storage and product identification., • Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently, ensuring products are handled with care., • Organize products in the warehouse according to established procedures and layout requirements., • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following housekeeping and safety standards., • Assist with general labor and production tasks as needed to support daily operations., • Perform packaging, packing, and filling tasks to prepare small consumer products for shipment or further processing., • Handle materials, including moving, staging, and storing inventory using appropriate tools and methods., • Use RF scanners and other scanning equipment to pick orders, track inventory, and verify product information., • Complete order picking and warehouse packing activities to meet production and shipping schedules., • Follow instructions and other duties assigned by the production lead or warehouse supervisor to support team goals.Essential Skills, • Previous experience working in a small consumer packaging environment., • Previous experience in a production and/or manufacturing environment., • Effective communication skills to follow instructions and work collaboratively with team members., • Ability to perform general labor tasks, including standing, lifting, and moving materials throughout the shift., • Experience with loading and unloading products from trucks or other transport vehicles., • Ability to perform packaging, packing, and filling tasks with attention to detail., • Experience with inventory handling and material handling in a warehouse or production setting., • Ability to perform picking and order picking tasks accurately and efficiently., • Experience using RF scanners or similar scanning devices to track inventory and process orders., • Ability to work in a warehouse and production environment for extended periods.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience with warehouse packing processes and procedures., • Familiarity with using scanners and RF scanner equipment in a warehouse setting., • Ability to manage multiple tasks such as loading, unloading, picking, and packing within a fast-paced environment., • Strong attention to organization and cleanliness in the workplace., • Reliability and willingness to follow direction from production leads and warehouse supervisors., • Comfort working with small consumer packaged goods and meeting quality standards.Why Work Here? The environment is fast-paced and requires adherence to safety and housekeeping standards to maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace. Appropriate work attire should be practical and suitable for warehouse and production tasks. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Metairie, LA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
