Job DescriptionJob Title: Production WorkerJob Description The Production Worker operates roll forming equipment in a dedicated roll forming department to manufacture gutter downpipe products. This role focuses on safe machine operation, quality inspection, and efficient packaging and material handling within a clean industrial facility. The position suits individuals with previous machine operating experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work proactively in a fast-paced production environment. Responsibilities • Operate a roll former machine to manufacture gutter downpipe in accordance with production specifications and safety standards., • Monitor machine performance, including understanding and safely working with RAM pressure as the machine cycles., • Set up, adjust, and operate machinery using appropriate hand tools to maintain product quality and production efficiency., • Perform visual inspections on finished parts to identify defects, irregularities, or damage., • Measure parts accurately with a tape measure to verify dimensions and ensure they meet required tolerances., • Assemble shipping boxes, place finished parts into boxes, and apply correct shipping labels., • Close and secure boxes, then stack and organize them on pallets in a safe and stable manner., • Use a pallet jack to move finished product pallets from the production area to the warehouse or designated storage locations., • Handle materials safely and efficiently throughout the production process, including loading and unloading components as needed., • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including proper use of equipment and personal protective practices., • Maintain a clean and organized work area within the industrial production environment., • Collaborate with team members and communicate any machine issues, quality concerns, or material shortages promptly., • Work proactively to keep production lines running smoothly and meet daily output and quality targets.Essential Skills, • Previous machine operator experience in a production or manufacturing environment., • Ability to operate roll forming or similar metal processing equipment safely and effectively., • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand how mechanical systems and RAM pressure functions affect machine operation., • Proficiency in using hand tools for machine adjustments and basic maintenance tasks., • Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately for quality checks and dimensional verification., • Basic math skills with the ability to pass a math test as part of the qualification process., • Experience working as a material handler, including safely moving materials and finished goods., • Ability to perform visual quality inspections and identify nonconforming parts., • Capacity to work proactively as a self-starter and maintain productivity with minimal supervision., • Willingness and ability to work hard in a fast-paced industrial environment., • Comfort working around metal rolling and metal stamping processes.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience in roll forming, metal rolling, or metal stamping operations., • Background in packaging and palletizing finished products in a manufacturing setting., • Demonstrated reliability and strong work ethic in previous roles., • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and production procedures., • Comfort working in a large industrial complex that is not climate controlled., • Openness to overtime, with the ability to work an additional 8–10 hours per week as needed.Why Work Here? Work Environment The role is based in a clean, industrial manufacturing facility within a large multi-plant complex. The environment is not climate controlled, so temperatures may vary with the seasons. Work takes place in a roll forming department, using roll forming machines, hand tools, tape measures, pallet jacks, and other standard production and material handling equipment. The schedule for this position is on the day shift, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with an additional 8–10 hours of overtime available per week depending on production needs. The setting is safety-focused and production-oriented, with clear procedures and expectations to maintain an organized and efficient operation. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Atlanta, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
