Job DescriptionRespiratory Therapist (12-Hour Shifts) You’re the one they call when every breath matters. On this team, you’re not a support player – you’re central to patient survival and recovery across the medical center. You’ll evaluate, administer, and monitor a wide variety of therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care procedures for patients of all ages with complex cardio-pulmonary disorders. From the ED to critical care to the floors, you’ll touch every corner of the hospital and every stage of acuity. These are full-time 12-hour shifts where your skills are tested, trusted, and respected. If you’re a licensed Respiratory Therapist – or a new grad ready to prove yourself – we want to talk to you. What You'll Work On You’ll provide hands-on respiratory care throughout the medical center, including: • Therapeutic respiratory care procedures, • Diagnostic respiratory care procedures, • Management of patients with cardio-pulmonary disorders, • Care for patients of all ages, • Support across all clinical areas of the medical center Every shift, you’ll see the direct impact of your work on patients’ ability to breathe, heal, and go home. What You'll Be Doing • Evaluating patients with a variety of cardio-pulmonary disorders, • Administering prescribed therapeutic respiratory care procedures, • Performing diagnostic respiratory care procedures as ordered, • Monitoring patient response to respiratory treatments and interventions, • Providing respiratory care to patients of all ages in all areas of the medical center, • Transporting and maneuvering equipment and gas cylinders between patient care areas, • Following all safety regulations, Infection Control policies, and Universal Precautions, • Working scheduled 12-hour, • Covering every other weekend and holiday as part of regular staffing, • Collaborating with nurses, physicians, and other clinicians on patient careWhat We're Looking For, • High school diploma or equivalent, • Graduate of an AMA-accredited Associate Degree Program in Respiratory Care or equivalent, • Current Respiratory Therapist license in the State of Rhode Island, or eligibility to obtain, • National certification as a Respiratory Therapist, or certification eligible, • Prior respiratory care experience preferred, • New graduates of an AMA-approved Respiratory Care Program welcome (must pass boards and obtain RI license), • Ability to safely carry, push, and pull equipment and gas cylinders weighing 50–150 lbs, • Comfort working in a hospital environment with exposure to odors, bodily wastes, contaminated equipment, and infectious diseasesWhy This Opportunity?
