Job Description Licensed Esthetician — Medical Aesthetics and Skin Health Thrive Wellness + Aesthetics | Chicago, IL 60642 Part-Time with Opportunity to Grow | W-2 Position $24–$28 per hour, based on experience and qualifications About Thrive Thrive Wellness + Aesthetics is a physician-led integrative medical and aesthetics practice in Chicago’s West Town neighborhood. We provide personalized care focused on skin health, clinical safety, client education, and long-term results. We are seeking a licensed esthetician who takes pride in delivering consistently excellent care, building lasting client relationships, and working within clear professional and medical protocols. Candidates interested in expanding their skills may have opportunities for additional training when legally permissible, clinically appropriate, and authorized under Thrive’s protocols. Key Responsibilities • Perform customized facials, chemical peels, advanced skincare treatments, and body skincare services within the esthetician’s lawful scope, • Conduct thoughtful consultations and develop appropriate treatment recommendations, • Educate clients about skin health, home-care routines, treatment plans, and realistic expectations, • Recommend professional skincare products and services based on client needs—not pressure, • Create a calm, welcoming, and professional client experience, • Complete accurate and timely charting in the electronic medical record, • Screen for contraindications and follow consent, photography, and documentation requirements, • Prepare, sanitize, restock, and maintain treatment rooms, • Monitor product and treatment-supply inventory, • Support appropriate rebooking, follow-up, and client-retention efforts, • Collaborate with the physician, operations team, and front desk, • Follow all infection-control procedures, safety standards, practice policies, and scope-of-practice requirements, • Participate in team training, meetings, events, and occasional practice-development activities Required Qualifications • Active Illinois esthetician license in good standing, • Strong understanding of sanitation, infection prevention, and client safety, • Professional and emotionally intelligent communication, • Excellent attention to detail, • Reliable attendance and punctuality, • Comfort using electronic records, checklists, and structured workflows, • Ability to receive feedback and implement it consistently, • Commitment to practicing within legal scope and established protocols, • Availability for some evening and Saturday hours based on client demand Employment is contingent upon verification of active Illinois licensure.
