Who We Are \n Feetures is a family-owned performance sock brand headquartered in the Charlotte Metro area of North Carolina, built on one core belief: people are not meant to sit still. We create socks designed for every kind of athlete, because we believe all people are Meant to Move — and it’s our mission to inspire and support that passion in everyone. \n Founded in 2002, Feetures was born from a drive to engineer a better sock for runners, athletes, and all people pursuing active, healthy lifestyles. Today, we’re the #1 running sock brand in U.S. run specialty stores, sold in more than 40 countries worldwide — a global footprint built on the foundation of a tight-knit, values-driven family business. We obsess over the details, push the limits of performance, and bring unmatched competitive passion to everything we do. \n We’re not just making socks. We’re moving an industry forward. If you’re driven by purpose and energized by performance, you’ll feel right at home here. \n \n About the Role \n Feetures is hiring a Product Merchandiser to play a central role in shaping the seasonal product assortments that drive our business forward. This role sits at the intersection of data and strategic product judgement — you’ll use both to build product lines that are commercially compelling, on-trend, and true to the Feetures brand. \n You will own the merchandising strategy across categories, partnering closely with Product, Sales, Planning, and Marketing to ensure the right products reach the right channels at the right time. From SKU rationalization to planogram development to monthly and quarterly product performance reviews, you’ll have visibility across the full product lifecycle and a direct line to the decisions that shape it. \n This is a high-collaboration, high-impact role for someone who loves product, lives in data, and wants to help build something that genuinely moves people. \n \n What You’ll Own \n Assortment Strategy \n\n • Lead seasonal assortment development in partnership with the Product team — building collections that are commercially viable, brand-right, and aligned with financial goals\n, • Drive SKU rationalization to keep the product line focused, efficient, and profitable\n, • Identify whitespace opportunities, category expansion possibilities, and seasonal capsule concepts that push the brand forward\n, • Create product briefs that clearly articulate key selling points, competitive positioning, and merchandising strategy\n\n Insights \n\n • Analyze sales performance across categories and translate data into clear, actionable merchandising decisions\n, • Monitor sell-in, sell-through, and margin performance — and know what’s driving them\n, • Conduct competitive market analysis to track trends, surface threats, and spot opportunities before they become obvious\n, • Develop a deep understanding of what consumers want by conducting surveys and focus groups to gauge consumer feedback\n\n Channel & Customer Support \n\n • Partner with Sales to optimize product presentations and merchandising strategies for wholesale accounts and retail partners\n, • Support DTC growth through curated assortments and seasonal strategies that serve our direct customer\n, • Collaborate on planogram development and provide product placement recommendations that improve in-store and digital shelf performance\n, • Share sell-through insights and customer feedback with the Product Development team to directly influence future design decisions\n, • Partner with Planning to ensure understanding of product strategy and assortment intent\n\n Cross-Functional Collaboration \n\n • Work closely with Product, Sales, Marketing, Planning, and Customer Service to keep merchandising strategy connected across the business\n, • Ensure product assortments and attributes are accurately represented across all customer-facing materials and channels\n, • Surface recurring customer feedback to the right teams and close the loop between what customers experience and what we build\n\n \n What We’re Looking For \n Experience \n\n • 3–5 years of experience in product merchandising, buying, or a closely related role\n, • Advanced proficiency in Excel and fluency in merchandising and data analysis tools (example: Centric PLM, Netsuite Analytic Warehouse, other insights platforms)\n, • Experience in apparel, footwear, accessories, or a performance-adjacent category\n, • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and drive decisions through influence, not just authority\n\n Skills & Mindset \n\n • Strong analytical skills — you can move from raw data to a clear point of view without getting lost in the numbers\n, • Genuine product sensibility and a sharp eye for commercial trends that translate into sales\n, • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities without dropping the ball\n, • Clear and proactive communicator — you don’t wait to be asked. You surface insights, flag risks, and bring recommendations to leadership and cross-functional partners before the question is even raised.\n, • Constant learner — not afraid to ask questions and committed to growing from the answers\n, • Dependable under pressure — you manage your time well, meet deadlines without being chased, and know when to raise your hand if something is at risk\n, • You move from insight to action without waiting to be told — decisive enough to get started, self-aware enough to know when to align before going further\n\n \n What Sets You Apart \n\n • You think like a merchant and a strategist at the same time — you know what will sell and why, and you can build a business case around it\n, • A track record of building seasonal assortments that balance creative vision with commercial performance\n, • You recognize when data doesn’t tell the fully story, or when something doesn’t look right. You proactively investigate discrepancies, partner with data team to resolve issues, and use sound judgement to develop actionable recommendations\n, • You’ve worked on a brand where product and performance are both non-negotiable — and you understand the discipline that takes\n, • You’ve worked in a omni-channel environment and understand how merchandising decisions play differently across wholesale, retail, and direct channels\n, • Leverage AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, and other analytical technologies to improve efficiency, accelerate analysis, and uncover insights, while maintaining ownership of the analysis, interpretation, and final business recommendations.\n\n \n Why This Role \n This is a high-visibility role on a team that moves fast and holds the product line to an exceptionally high standard. You won’t be managing one slice of the assortment — you’ll have influence across categories, channels, and the decisions that shape what Feetures brings to market each season. If you want to do meaningful merchandising work on a product people genuinely love, this is the role for you. \n \n Compensation & Benefits \n Salary \n\n • We offer a competitive market rate salary benchmarked through CompAnalyst by Salary.com, ensuring compensation that reflects the value of this role in today’s market\n\n Health, Dental, Vision, Life & Disability insurance. 401(k) with company match. \n Relocation \n\n • Relocation assistance is available for candidates moving to the Charlotte area — details provided during the offer stage\n\n PTO & Holidays \n\n • 20 PTO days available from day one — usable for vacation, appointments, and sick days\n, • 1 floating holiday at your discretion\n, • 10 company-paid holidays per year\n\n Perks \n\n • 12 free pairs of Feetures socks annually and up to 48 pairs at incredible discounts\n, • Discounts on Feetures branded athletic apparel\n, • Parking provided at Charlotte and Hickory offices\n, • Monthly stipend to pursue an active lifestyle\n\n \n Life in Charlotte \n This role is based in Charlotte, NC.
