We are seeking an experienced 2nd Shift Facility & Industrial Maintenance Technician to support our operations by ensuring our buildings, grounds, facility systems, and production equipment remain safe, reliable, and efficient. Position Overview The Facility & Industrial Maintenance Technician is primarily responsible for the maintenance, repair, and improvement of our buildings, grounds, and facility infrastructure. The majority of this role is dedicated to facility maintenance, including preventative maintenance, repairs, facility improvements, and supporting a clean, safe, and efficient work environment. In addition to facility responsibilities, this position will respond to machine breakdowns and perform troubleshooting and repairs on production equipment as needed to minimize downtime and support manufacturing operations. This role is ideal for a hands-on individual with strong mechanical aptitude who enjoys solving problems, completing a variety of maintenance projects, and taking ownership of the overall condition of a manufacturing facility. Key Responsibilities Facility Maintenance (Primary Focus) • Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of building systems, facility infrastructure, and grounds., • Troubleshoot and repair facility electrical, plumbing, HVAC, compressed air, lighting, and utility systems., • Complete general building repairs including doors, docks, windows, walls, flooring, roofing, office areas, and exterior structures., • Maintain parking lots, sidewalks, fencing, landscaping, drainage systems, and facility appearance., • Coordinate and assist with snow removal, grounds maintenance, and seasonal facility upkeep., • Install, modify, and repair racking, shelving, workstations, guardrails, and other facility structures., • Perform preventative maintenance on facility systems to improve reliability and reduce unexpected repairs., • Maintain facility safety equipment including eyewash stations, fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, and related systems. Equipment Maintenance (Secondary Focus) • Respond to machine breakdowns and troubleshoot production equipment to minimize downtime., • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production machinery., • Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical issues., • Work closely with production personnel to identify and correct equipment issues. General Responsibilities • Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams., • Support continuous improvement efforts related to safety, maintenance, and operational efficiency., • Maintain tools, maintenance equipment, and workshop organization., • Follow all safety procedures and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Mechanical Expertise Required We are specifically seeking a technician with strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience, including: • Diagnosing and repairing gearboxes, bearings, shafts, conveyors, pumps, and drive systems., • Replacing and adjusting chains, sprockets, belts, couplings, seals, and actuators., • Identifying root causes of mechanical failures through inspection and troubleshooting., • Knowledge of proper lubrication practices, mechanical tolerances, and torque application., • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems including cylinders, pumps, valves, regulators, and hoses., • Proficiency with maintenance shop equipment including drill presses, grinders, saws, and related tools. Qualifications • Minimum of 5 years of industrial, facility, or maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred., • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills., • Working knowledge of facility systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and compressed air systems., • Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings, manuals, and schematics., • Experience with PLCs, CNC equipment, and industrial automation is a plus., • Ability to work independently and manage multiple maintenance priorities., • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail., • Willingness to work flexible schedules and overtime when necessary.
