Benefits • Medical insurance for eligible employees, • Dental insurance, • Vision insurance, • Life insurance, • Paid time off for eligible employees, • 401(k), • 401(k) matching, • Tuition reimbursement, • Employee assistance program, • Employee referral program, • Paid training, • Retention incentives, • Flexible scheduling where available, • Supportive and team-oriented work environment, • Meaningful work serving older adults What You'll Do • Provide respectful and compassionate personal care to residents, • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, and personal hygiene, • Assist with walking, mobility, positioning, and transfers according to resident service plans, • Use proper body mechanics and available equipment when assisting residents, • Provide meal assistance and support residents with dining needs when required, • Offer companionship, reassurance, conversation, and emotional support, • Encourage residents to participate in meals, programs, and community activities, • Respond promptly to resident requests and emergency-call systems, • Observe residents for changes in physical condition, behavior, cognition, mood, appetite, mobility, or daily routine, • Promptly report changes or concerns to the nurse or appropriate supervisor, • Measure and document vital signs only when trained, determined competent, and assigned to do so, • Follow individualized resident service plans, care instructions, and safety procedures, • Document personal care and services accurately and promptly, • Maintain clean, safe, and organized resident living areas, • Assist with personal laundry and light resident-area housekeeping as assigned, • Promote resident engagement, independence, dignity, and choice, • Protect resident privacy, rights, personal information, and confidentiality, • Communicate respectfully with residents, families, visitors, and team members, • Follow infection-control, resident-safety, emergency, and fall-prevention procedures, • Participate in required orientation, training, competency reviews, meetings, and in-service education, • Complete additional resident-care duties permitted by the employee’s license, training, competency, and assigned role What We're Looking For • Compassionate, patient, and dependable approach to resident care, • Genuine interest in working with older adults, • Ability to treat residents with dignity, respect, and kindness, • Strong observation, communication, and interpersonal skills, • Ability to follow service plans, policies, safety procedures, and supervisory direction, • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, verbally and in writing, as required to understand care instructions, document services, report changes in resident condition, and respond during emergencies, • Ability to work independently and as part of a Wellness team, • Strong organization and time-management skills, • Dependable attendance and punctuality, • Previous assisted living, memory care, senior care, home care, or healthcare experience is preferred, • Previous experience assisting with activities of daily living is preferred, • Basic computer skills and the ability to complete electronic documentation, • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and remain active throughout the workday, • Ability to safely lift, transfer, push, or pull up to (physical requirement) pounds with assistance or available equipment, • Ability to successfully complete required background checks, health screenings, and employment requirements Rhode Island Credential Requirements • Candidates hired into a Certified Nursing Assistant or Nursing Assistant position must hold a current Rhode Island Nursing Assistant license, • The license must remain active and in good standing throughout employment, • Employees may only perform duties permitted by their license, training, demonstrated competency, resident service plan, and assigned role, • Vital signs and other health-related tasks may only be performed when the employee has been trained, determined competent, and assigned the task, • Medication administration is not automatically included in this position, • Employees administering medications must hold any separate Rhode Island Medication Aide license or other authorization required for the task, • Employees must promptly report resident changes, medication concerns, injuries, incidents, and situations requiring nursing judgment, • Employees may not independently perform nursing assessments, develop nursing care plans, provide nursing diagnoses, or perform skilled nursing duties reserved for licensed nurses Apply Today At our community, residents come first.
