Job Description Part-Time Weekend & Relief Cleaning Technician (Evenings) Commerce and Torrance Pay: $18 to $20 / hr Employment Type: Part-time, intermittent/supplemental Locations: Commerce and Torrance, California. Additional project work may be offered at other client locations based on business needs and employee availability. Position Overview Getty Team is seeking a dependable and flexible Weekend & Relief Cleaning Technician to support cleaning operations at two client locations: • A food-manufacturing facility in Commerce, • A public transportation facility in Torrance The primary recurring need is weekend sanitation at the Commerce facility when weekend production is scheduled. The employee will also be cross-trained to provide weekday coverage at either location when a regular employee is absent, on vacation, or when additional cleaning support is needed. This is a supplemental position with a variable schedule. It is best suited for someone seeking occasional evening and weekend work in addition to another job, school, family responsibilities, or another source of income. The employee may also be offered opportunities to support other Getty Team assignments, including one-time projects, deep cleaning, special services, and temporary coverage at additional client locations. These opportunities will depend on business needs, the employee’s qualifications and availability, and the location and schedule of each assignment. Work Schedule Food-Manufacturing Facility — Commerce • Weekday relief shift: 10:00 p.m.–2:00 a.m., • Potential recurring weekday schedule: Although this is primarily a relief position, one or two regularly scheduled weekday shifts may be available for the right candidate. Any recurring schedule would depend on operational needs and would be discussed before the employee’s schedule is finalized., • Weekend sanitation: Saturday and/or Sunday when weekend production occurs, • Weekend shifts generally last approximately four hours., • Weekend shifts may be scheduled at a mutually coordinated time after 6:00 p.m., • Weekend cleaning is currently anticipated during approximately one-third of the year, although the timing and frequency will depend on the facility’s production schedule. Public Transportation Facility — Torrance • Weekday relief shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 p.m.–11:30 p.m. Because the weekday shifts overlap, the employee would cover either Commerce or Torrance on a particular weekday—not both locations during the same night. Specific assignments will be communicated and confirmed in advance whenever reasonably possible. Hours will vary, and some weeks may have no scheduled work. Once an employee accepts or is scheduled for a shift, dependable attendance and punctuality are required. Weekend availability is an essential part of this position. Food-Manufacturing Sanitation Responsibilities • Remove food residue, debris, and waste from designated production areas., • Wash, rinse, and sanitize approved tables, sinks, carts, trays, molds, utensils, buckets, and other production-support items., • Clean designated exterior surfaces and removable components of production equipment., • Sweep, scrub, and mop production, warehouse, restroom, breakroom, and office floors., • Clean drains, equipment supports, storage racks, walls, and other scheduled areas., • Follow daily, periodic, and allergen-changeover sanitation procedures., • Prepare and use cleaning and sanitizing solutions according to approved instructions., • Use designated and color-coded tools to help prevent cross-contamination., • Complete sanitation checklists, cleaning logs, and other required documentation., • Properly store cleaned equipment, tools, chemicals, and removable machine components., • Inspect assigned areas before completing the shift and correct any missed work., • Follow all GMP, PPE, hygiene, food-safety, allergen-control, and facility-access requirements., • Immediately report damaged equipment, chemical concerns, pest activity, leaks, safety hazards, or possible contamination. Transportation-Facility Cleaning Responsibilities • Clean interior vehicle windows., • Vacuum passenger seats and other designated surfaces., • Mop interior floors., • Clean and sanitize seats, walls, and other interior surfaces., • Clean rails, overhead hand straps, and other high-contact surfaces., • Clean and sanitize the driver’s area, dashboard, and fare equipment., • Remove pen and marker graffiti using site-provided cleaning products., • Inspect completed work and correct any missed areas., • Report damage, unusual conditions, missing supplies, and safety concerns promptly., • Wear the required uniform, safety vest, and PPE. Qualifications • Previous janitorial, sanitation, restaurant, warehouse, manufacturing, transportation, or commercial-cleaning experience is preferred., • Ability to travel reliably to assignments in both Commerce and Torrance., • Availability for scheduled weekend work at the Commerce facility., • Ability to occasionally cover weekday evening or overnight shifts., • Dependable attendance and punctuality., • Ability to follow written procedures, checklists, chemical labels, and verbal instructions., • Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow site-specific procedures consistently., • Ability to work independently and as part of a small cleaning team., • Ability to communicate problems promptly and professionally., • Comfortable working around food residue, cleaning chemicals, production equipment, vehicles, and wet floors., • Must be authorized to work in the United States. Employees will receive site-specific training before being assigned to work independently. Physical Requirements The employee must be able to: • Stand and walk for most of the shift., • Bend, kneel, reach, twist, and work inside vehicles and around production equipment., • Perform repetitive wiping, scrubbing, sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping., • Push cleaning carts, mop buckets, waste containers, and other cleaning equipment., • Lift and carry approximately 30–40 pounds., • Work around water, cleaning chemicals, food residue, machinery, vehicles, and wet floors., • Wear required PPE, which may include gloves, safety vests, protective eyewear, masks, hair restraints, and shoe covers.
