Job Description HR & People Operations Manager Location: National Fleet Management Headquarters – Greensboro, NC Work Location: On-Site Schedule: Monday–Friday Employment Type: Full-Time | Permanent Compensation: Competitive Pay, Based on Experience We’re Looking for an HR Leader National Fleet Management is one of the fastest-growing heavy-duty truck service companies in the Southeast, with operations across multiple states and continued growth ahead. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an experienced HR & People Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day HR function and HR team while partnering with senior leadership on HR initiatives, organizational priorities, and continued company growth. This is a hands-on leadership role. We need someone who can lead people, strengthen processes, navigate employee relations and compliance, and keep HR operations moving, while also being willing to roll up their sleeves and work alongside the team. What You’ll Own As our HR & People Operations Manager, you’ll lead and execute the day-to-day people operations that support our growing organization. • Lead, coach, and develop the HR team while establishing clear expectations and accountability., • Oversee the teammate lifecycle from onboarding through offboarding., • Manage employee relations matters, including workplace concerns, investigations, documentation, corrective action, and manager coaching., • Support employment compliance across a growing, multi-state organization., • Ensure employee records, HRIS information, and HR documentation are accurate and maintained., • Own and continuously improve the onboarding experience for new teammates and managers., • Support benefits administration, including medical, dental, vision, HRA, HSA/FSA programs, and annual open enrollment., • Lead recruiting workflows and the recruiting team while remaining willing to personally recruit when business needs require it., • Partner with leaders on hiring, performance management, teammate development, and employee relations., • Review and improve HR workflows, processes, documentation, and internal controls., • Support payroll processing when needed and help ensure HR-related payroll information is accurate and timely., • Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, manager resources, and teammate communications., • Partner directly with the VP of People & Operations on HR initiatives, organizational priorities, and continued company growth., • Step in where needed to keep the HR function moving and provide a high level of support to our teammates and leaders.What We’re Looking For, • 5–8 years of progressive Human Resources experience., • Prior experience supervising and/or leading direct reports., • Strong working knowledge of employee relations, HR compliance, onboarding, recruiting, benefits, and day-to-day HR operations., • Experience supporting a multi-location or multi-state workforce is a plus., • Experience working with an HRIS; ADP Workforce Now experience is a plus., • Working knowledge of payroll and the ability to support payroll processing when needed., • Strong written and verbal communication skills., • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and follow-through., • Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment., • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters professionally., • Ability to prioritize, adapt, and execute in a fast-paced, growing organization., • Flexibility to travel occasionally to other NFM locations, primarily for recruiting events, job fairs, meetings, or other business needs. Travel is limited and primarily within North Carolina.Education & Credentials, • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred, or 5–8 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree., • MBA preferred for candidates with relevant HR experience.Our Expectations Are Clear We have high standards.
