Position will also be responsible for Preventative Maintenance activities to support system performance of O&M portfolio, as well as, QA/QC inspections, system commissioning and pre-con site assessments. \n \n Responsibilities: \n As a Solar Technician/Electrician within the Operations and Maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable performance of solar energy systems. Key responsibilities include: \n \n\n • Performing routine maintenance, inspections, and system checks on solar equipment to ensure optimal performance.\n, • Operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment issues identified during inspections or daily operations.\n, • Conducting electrical testing, measurements, and diagnostics to identify and resolve electrical issues.\n, • Utilizing a basic understanding of system monitoring platforms to review and analyze performance data, identify trends, and flag potential concerns.\n, • Preparing formal documentation of all field activities, task procedures, and maintenance actions.\n, • Adhering to all safety protocols, company policies, and industry standards.\n, • Providing technical guidance and support to junior technicians as needed.\n, • Demonstrating strong attention to detail in all aspects of work.\n, • Assisting with QA/QC activities, commissioning of new solar installations, and site assessments.\n, • Managing preventive maintenance tasks and deliverables, including independently performing basic electrical tasks.\n, • Conducting advanced testing and troubleshooting, including work on electrically live devices when required and permitted.\n, • Performing lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures in accordance with established guidelines and safely releasing systems for troubleshooting.\n, • Executing work instructions for both electrical and mechanical repairs on on-site equipment.\n, • Working within distribution-level systems up to 600 VAC and within PV array limits up to 1000 VDC.\n, • Applying low-voltage test equipment, including conducting pre- and post-use inspections, safely connecting instruments, and interpreting test results.\n\n \n Qualifications: \n\n • Associates Degree in Engineering or equivalent Technical Certification/Training\n, • Licensed Electrician and NABCEP certification preferred.\n, • Valid Driver’s license with clean record.\n, • One (1) year minimum experience installing/maintaining commercial scale battery storage systems preferred.\n, • Ability to work remotely and independently.\n, • Project management/field operations management experience preferred.\n, • Previous experience working with power electronic conversion equipment.\n, • Experience with metering and test equipment.\n, • Experience with centralized DAS/SCADA/EMS control systems.\n, • Working knowledge of Commercial Power Plant Operations.\n, • Ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings, equipment manuals and technical specifications.\n, • Familiarity with CMMS based work order/ticketing systems and mobile reporting tools.\n, • Working knowledge of NEC and local building codes and OSHA safety standards (OSHA 30 preferred).\n, • Ability to efficiently troubleshoot system failures.\n, • Proficient with the use of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).\n, • Must be willing and able to climb ladders, stairs and work on rooftops.\n, • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions.\n\n \n Benefits: \n\n • Competitive salary and performance-based incentives\n, • Health, dental, and vision insurance\n, • Retirement savings plan\n, • Opportunities for professional development and career advancement\n

Responsibilities • Perform neat clean roughing in of commercial medical suites with various types of M/C cables., • Use a laser level to install deep 1900 boxes affixed to steel studs for switches, sensors, quads, or outlets., • Perform safe electrical demolition, temporary lighting, and power as directed by the foreman., • Rough in lighting (277volt) emergency circuits and regular lighting/power branch circuits., • Set up wiring from distribution panels and install in ceilings correctly, with proper slack, to junction locations., • Twist wire nuts to connect wires and ensure no cross connections., • Communicate job progress with the foreman and mark job completion on prints., • Install gem boxes in closed wall construction without damaging sheet rock., • Install additional 1900 boxes in ceilings outside rooms for power pack or sensor controls., • Trace circuits back to the panel, with or without a current tracer., • Bend ¾ EMT for stub ups in walls for low voltage openings., • Affix beam clamps to boxes and tie wires (M/C cable) without instruction., • Affix panels to various types of walls as directed by foremen., • Use 6, 8, 10, and 12 ft. A-frame ladders and have prior experience with scissor lifts., • Perform trim work, install and wire fixtures without damage, as directed by the foreman., • Possess proper hand tools, including a Milwaukee drill and impact drill, and have safety gear., • Have a vehicle for transportation to job sites in Nassau and Suffolk County., • Adhere to safety standards, including no presence of pot or alcohol smells, and maintain punctuality.Essential Skills, • Electrical wiring and cable installation experience., • Ability to read blueprints and perform MC & BX rough in., • Experience with 3-way switch installation and medical cable wiring., • Proficiency in troubleshooting, running conduit, and panel wiring., • Low voltage and schematic understanding., • OSHA 30 certification.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Must have a vehicle for job site access., • Open to working in both Nassau and Suffolk job sites.Why Work Here?
