Job DescriptionJob Title: Electromechanical AssemblerJob Description This role focuses on assembling and building electromechanical equipment and transformers that support electrical power solutions across the power market. You will work hands-on with mechanical and basic electrical tasks, using a variety of tools and materials to help produce high-quality power equipment in a dynamic production environment. Responsibilities • Perform mechanical assembly tasks using a variety of hand and power tools in a production environment., • Stack metal components and build transformers according to specifications and quality standards., • Accurately measure materials and components using a tape measure to ensure proper fit and alignment., • Mount heavy components such as breakers, transformers, busway, and contactors safely and correctly., • Install sheet metal panels and doors, ensuring proper fit, alignment, and secure fastening., • Assist with punching, aligning, and bolting copper and aluminum busbar as part of the assembly process., • Work as a cooperative team player, collaborating with colleagues to solve problems and meet production goals., • Demonstrate initiative by identifying issues, suggesting improvements, and taking ownership of assigned tasks., • Learn and perform basic electrical tasks such as using crimp connectors, ferrule blocks, and terminal strips under guidance and training., • Learn and perform cable bundling, zip-tying, and clean wire routing along wireways to maintain organized and safe wiring., • Apply schematic reading skills, when available, to interpret electrical diagrams and support accurate assembly., • Use mechanical print reading skills, when available, to follow detailed mechanical drawings and instructions., • Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of required steel-toe footwear and adherence to facility rules., • Remain flexible and open to working in both non-climate-controlled and climate-controlled areas within the facility., • Support production demands by working assigned shifts and being open to extended hours, including possible 12-hour shifts.Essential Skills, • Ability to stand for up to 12-hour days in a production or warehouse environment., • Proficiency with hand tools for mechanical assembly tasks., • 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing, construction, or carpentry., • Ability to mount and handle heavy components such as breakers, transformers, busway, and contactors., • Capability to install sheet metal panels and doors with attention to fit and alignment., • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse environment., • Problem-solving mindset with the initiative to take on tasks and learn new skills., • Comfort working in outdoor/non-climate-controlled and climate-controlled areas., • Ability to follow safety guidelines, including wearing steel-toe footwear and using company-provided tools.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience with switchboard or low voltage power circuit breaker switchgear is a plus., • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics is a strong plus., • Ability to read and interpret mechanical prints is a strong plus., • Trainability on electrical tasks such as using crimp connectors, ferrule blocks, and terminal strips., • Trainability on cable bundling, zip-tying, and clean wire routing along wireways., • Background in companies involved in electrical or industrial equipment manufacturing (such as large power or automation organizations) is beneficial.Why Work Here? Work Environment You will work in a large warehouse setting that includes both non-climate-controlled and climate-controlled areas, with climate-controlled break rooms available. The standard schedule is 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with a typical workweek of 40–50 hours and the need to be open to the possibility of 12-hour shifts depending on production demands. Steel-toe footwear is required, and the company provides all necessary tools, so you should not bring your own. The work involves handling heavy components and moving between different areas of the facility, requiring comfort with a hands-on, industrial setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Houston, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
