Job DescriptionJob Title: Batch MixerJob Description The Batch Mixer plays a key role in food manufacturing by accurately preparing ingredients, operating mixing and cooking equipment, and ensuring each batch meets strict quality and food safety standards. This position works closely with production, quality, and maintenance teams to keep operations running smoothly while maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant environment. Responsibilities • Prepare and measure ingredients according to established recipes and production specifications., • Operate kettles, mixers, cookers, pumps, and other kitchen processing equipment safely and efficiently., • Monitor cooking temperatures, viscosity, and overall batch quality throughout the production process., • Blend, mix, and transfer caramel and other confectionery products to production lines., • Record batch information, production data, and quality check results accurately and in a timely manner., • Perform equipment setup, changeovers, and basic troubleshooting to support continuous production., • Follow all food safety, GMP, HACCP, and sanitation procedures at all times., • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas according to company standards., • Communicate effectively with production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure efficient operations., • Assist with inventory management and ingredient staging to support production schedules., • Maintain a safe work environment and follow all company safety policies and guidelines.Essential Skills, • At least 2 years of production experience in a manufacturing or similar environment., • Ability to work comfortably in GMP attire., • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis., • Comfort working near ovens, kettles, and other heated equipment., • Experience with food production processes and equipment operation., • Ability to perform batch mixing, blending, and weighing of ingredients accurately., • Attention to detail in following recipes, procedures, and quality standards., • Strong focus on food safety, sanitation, and adherence to GMP and HACCP guidelines., • Ability to complete quality checks and record production data accurately.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • 2 or more years of food mixing or batch mixing experience., • Experience working with baking, dairy, or confectionery equipment., • Ability to communicate effectively in more than one language (bilingual)., • Familiarity with food manufacturing environments and related quality control processes.Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a clean food manufacturing environment that follows strict GMP, HACCP, and sanitation standards. The position requires wearing appropriate GMP attire and personal protective equipment as part of daily operations. The environment is production-focused, with collaboration across production, quality, and maintenance teams to maintain efficient and safe operations. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Niles, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
