Project Manager Eastbourne, East Sussex £85,000 - £90,000 + Comprehensive Package The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a flagship residential development in Eastbourne, comprising 350 timber frame homes and four traditionally built apartment blocks. Reporting directly to the Contracts Manager, you will take full responsibility for programme delivery, quality, health & safety, and commercial performance across this major multi-phase project. Key Responsibilities • Lead the delivery of a large-scale residential scheme from site commencement through to completion., • Manage site teams, subcontractors and supply chain partners to achieve programme milestones., • Ensure all works are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards., • Oversee the construction of timber frame housing and traditionally built apartment blocks., • Drive programme performance and proactively manage project risks., • Chair site meetings and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, consultants and local authorities., • Monitor quality control procedures and ensure customer expectations are exceeded., • Work closely with commercial, technical and sales teams throughout the project lifecycle., • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental and building regulation requirements. Requirements • Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering large residential developments., • Strong knowledge of timber frame construction methods., • Experience managing multi-unit housing schemes and apartment blocks., • Excellent leadership and people management skills., • Track record of delivering projects safely, on programme and within budget., • SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications., • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities. Senior Site Manager A well-established residential developer is preparing to start a brand-new 120-unit traditional build development in West Sussex and they are looking for an experienced Senior Site Manager to join the team from the very beginning. Joining at this stage means you'll have genuine involvement from the early development and pre-construction stages, helping establish the standards, team and working practices that will shape the site throughout its different stages. The development will be delivered to NHBC standards, with quality, programme and safety at the heart of the build. You'll work alongside an experienced management team and have the opportunity to take real ownership as the project progresses. You'll be responsible for: Helping lead the development from the early stages through to completion. Working closely with the wider project team during the initial development and mobilisation. Managing subcontractors and maintaining progress against programme. Ensuring consistently high build quality and compliance with NHBC standards. Supporting the Site Manager and wider team in delivering a well-organised and efficient development. Maintaining high standards of health and safety across the site. Working closely with Commercial, Technical and Customer Care teams. Developing and mentoring members of the site team as the development grows. We're looking for someone who: Has strong experience delivering traditional build residential developments. Has previously worked as a Senior Site Manager or in a similar senior site-based position. Has a thorough understanding of NHBC standards and quality-led construction. Is confident managing subcontractors, programmes and site teams. Enjoys being involved in the early stages of a development and establishing standards from the outset. Is ambitious and looking for a business where there is genuine scope to progress.
