Overview We are looking to recruit a Development Executive to join our growing Mid-Market team in Wales. As Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for identifying, securing, and developing new business opportunities across the Welsh market, building valuable relationships and creating long-term partnerships that drive sustainable growth. Given the nature of the role, we're flexible on location across Wales. Success in this position comes from being out in the market - meeting clients, strengthening partner relationships, and identifying new opportunities - rather than being office-based, with typically just one day a week spent in the office alongside the wider team. How you'll make an impact • Actively seek and respond to new business opportunities whilst exceeding agreed targets. Whilst results are important, equal emphasis is placed on how you build relationships and represent our business within the market., • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key referral and affinity partners, becoming a trusted and valued extension of their network., • Regularly engage with partners and prospects across the region, building long-term relationships that generate sustainable new business opportunities., • Focus on understanding clients' needs and delivering tailored insurance solutions, leveraging our broad range of products and services., • Contribute to the overall success of the team through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and a proactive approach to business development., • Attend networking events, trade shows, industry functions, and partner meetings, using your interpersonal skills to identify and maximise new opportunities., • Build strong relationships with insurers and underwriters to secure the most appropriate solutions for your clients., • Present a professional and credible image of Gallagher, promoting our expertise and values at every opportunity. About You • You have experience within the insurance industry and a strong understanding of commercial insurance and client relationship management., • You may already be an experienced Business Development Executive, Development Executive, or Producer looking to further develop your career within a growing Mid-Market proposition., • Alternatively, you could be an ambitious Account Handler, Account Manager, SME Executive, or similar insurance professional with a proven ability to build relationships and a desire to move into a more sales-focused role., • You're a natural relationship builder, comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels and developing trusted partnerships that create mutual value., • You're self-motivated, proactive, and driven by achieving results whilst maintaining a client-first approach., • You possess excellent communication and networking skills, with the confidence to represent the business both internally and externally., • Experience of closing new business is key., • You're a team player who values collaboration and enjoys contributing to a supportive and high-performing culture., • You're eligible to work in the UK and willing to travel across Wales as required. #LI-JJG Compensation and benefits At Gallagher, we believe supporting our colleagues goes far beyond the role itself.
