As we continue to grow, we are looking for a confident, motivated and personable Business Development & Client Acquisition Executive to help us identify new business opportunities, generate leads and build relationships with prospective clients and referral partners. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys speaking to people, building relationships and working towards targets. You do not need to be an accountant, as technical accounting queries can be passed to the relevant members of the Rothstone team. The Role The primary purpose of this role is to generate new business for Rothstone through outbound calls, lead generation, follow-ups, networking and marketing activities. You will be responsible for identifying potential clients, making initial contact, understanding their requirements and introducing them to Rothstone's services. Where appropriate, you will arrange consultations or pass qualified prospects to a senior member of the team to complete the onboarding process. Alongside your hourly wage, you will have the opportunity to earn uncapped commission based on the new clients you successfully bring to the firm. Key Responsibilities · Make outbound calls to prospective businesses and individuals who may require accounting or tax services. · Identify and research potential new clients. · Generate leads through sources such as Companies House, LinkedIn, Google, business directories and other appropriate platforms. · Contact prospects through telephone, email, LinkedIn and other approved communication channels. · Introduce potential clients to Rothstone and explain our services. · Identify prospective clients' accounting requirements and qualify opportunities. · Arrange consultations and meetings for interested prospects. · Follow up prospective clients who have received quotations or previously expressed an interest in Rothstone. · Re-engage previous enquiries and potential clients. · Maintain regular contact with leads throughout the sales process. · Build relationships with potential referral partners such as mortgage brokers, estate agents, solicitors, consultants and other businesses. · Promote the Rothstone Referral Scheme to suitable businesses, clients and professional contacts. · Assist with social media, email campaigns and other marketing initiatives. · Help develop ideas and campaigns to increase Rothstone's visibility and attract new clients. · Maintain accurate records of calls, leads, follow-ups, meetings and conversions. · Update the company's CRM or lead-tracking system. · Provide regular updates on business development activity and results. · Work closely with Rothstone's accountants and management team to ensure prospective clients receive a professional and consistent experience. Commission Structure: In addition to the hourly wage, the successful candidate will be eligible to receive: 10% commission on qualifying first-year fees generated from new clients personally sourced and successfully introduced to Rothstone. For example: If you introduce a new client whose qualifying first-year fees are £1,200, your commission would be: £120 If you generate £10,000 of qualifying new client fees: £1,000 commission There is no fixed limit on the amount of commission that can be earned. Commission will be calculated on qualifying fees actually received by Rothstone, excluding VAT, refunds, disbursements and third-party charges, and will be subject to the company's commission policy and employment terms. Referral Scheme: The successful candidate will also help develop Rothstone's wider referral network. This will involve identifying businesses and individuals who may regularly come across people requiring accountancy services and introducing them to the Rothstone Referral Scheme. The objective is to develop long-term relationships with referral partners who can regularly introduce new clients to Rothstone. Key Performance Indicators Performance may be measured against areas including: · Number of outbound calls made. · Number of new prospects contacted. · Number of qualified leads generated. · Number of consultations or meetings booked. · Number of quotations followed up. · Number of new clients successfully acquired. · Value of new annual client fees generated. · Number of new referral partnerships established. · Quality and accuracy of CRM/lead records. Targets will be realistic and reviewed regularly with management. About You We are looking for someone who is: · Confident speaking to new people over the telephone. · Friendly, professional and persuasive. · Comfortable making outbound and cold calls. · Able to build rapport quickly. · Motivated by achieving targets and earning commission. · Organised and able to manage follow-ups effectively. · Comfortable using email, Microsoft Office and online platforms. · Able to work independently and manage their own workload. · Persistent without being overly aggressive when selling. · Professional when representing Rothstone. · Interested in sales, marketing and business development. Desirable Experience Previous experience in any of the following would be beneficial but is not essential: · Business development. · Telesales. · Lead generation. · Account management. · Recruitment. · Customer service. · Marketing. · Appointment setting. · Financial or professional services. · Accountancy or bookkeeping firms. Full guidance on Rothstone's services and how to identify suitable prospective clients will be provided.
