We are seeking an experienced EC&I Engineer to support maintenance, commissioning, and plant reliability on site.This is a hands-on technical role working within a modern mineral processing facility, supporting the continued development, commissioning, and operation of a major UK project.Please note: successful candidates must complete a Drug and Alcohol test on their first day.Why Join?Competitive hourly rate plus 15% shift allowanceAttractive shift pattern with extended time offTraining, qualifications, and career development opportunitiesPension scheme and employee benefitsFree on-site parking and facilitiesOpportunity to be part of a significant UK industrial projectAbout the RoleAs an EC&I Engineer, you will support the reliability, safety, and performance of the processing plant through electrical, control, and instrumentation maintenance activities.You will be responsible for fault finding, planned maintenance, commissioning support, and ensuring plant systems operate safely and efficiently. You will work closely with operations teams, mechanical engineers, and contractors to minimise downtime and maintain production performance.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown repairsFault find on electrical, instrumentation, and control systemsWork with PLCs, SCADA systems, VSDs, and motor control equipmentDiagnose faults using P&IDs, electrical drawings, and technical documentationCarry out calibration, inspection, testing, and defect reportingSupport safe isolation procedures, permits to work, and risk assessmentsAssist mechanical teams and external contractors when requiredMaintain site electrical infrastructure, including power, lighting, and control systemsSupport commissioning and improvement activities across the plantEssential RequirementsNVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds qualification in Electrical, Control, or Instrumentation EngineeringMinimum 5 years industrial maintenance experienceStrong fault-finding ability across electrical and control systemsExperience with 3-phase systems, motors, VSDs, and DOL startersKnowledge of safe systems of work and permit-to-work proceduresExperience within mining, quarrying, manufacturing, processing, or heavy industry environmentsDesirable Qualifications & Experience18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification2391 Inspection and Testing qualificationExperience working with PLC and SCADA systems in industrial environmentsJob Type: Full-Time, PermanentSalary: £19.23£21.63 per hour + 15% shift allowanceShift Pattern: 11.5-hour shifts (5 on / 5 off / 4 on / 4 off)By applying for this position, you confirm that you consent to the processing of your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for the purposes of recruitment, employment and working finding service.If you are currently seeking a new challenge and feel you would be a good fit, then please submit an up to date CV by using the apply button below.TPBN1_UKTJ
