Acting for insurers, brokers and a wide range of insurance sector clients, the team handles complex and high profile matters across the legal, financial services, property, technology, media and consultancy sectors. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a market leading practice working on challenging, high value and novel areas of professional liability and insurance law.The RoleYou will advise and represent policyholders in contentious matters before the County Court, High Court, TCC, commercial courts and through the Financial Ombudsman Service and other consumer redress schemes. Responsibilities include:Handling complex professional indemnity, D&O, FI and coverage mattersAdvising on scope of duty, breach, causation, quantum and policy liability issuesReporting to insurer clients in line with strict service standards, including accurate reserving, case planning and proactive strategy executionApplying strong knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules, including costs management, funding, Part 36, interim applications, disclosure and expert instructionsKeeping up to date with civil procedure reforms and pilot schemes (Online Court, Fixed Recoverable Costs, Disclosure Pilot etc.)Delivering commercial, cost effective claims solutions through ADR, expert/QC determinations, arbitration, adjudication and negotiationBuilding strong relationships with policyholders, insurers, brokers and CounselDeveloping a deep understanding of the professional indemnity insurance marketSupporting marketing and business development initiatives within the teamCandidate RequirementsThis role is suited to an individual who can demonstrate:A passion for delivering excellent client serviceStrong analytical skills and an enquiring, solutions focused mindsetCommercial awareness and the ability to provide clear, practical adviceConfidence handling complex and technical mattersA proactive approach and willingness to take on new challengesStrong communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationshipsThis is an outstanding opportunity to join a successful, ambitious team working on a broad range of professional indemnity and financial lines matters across both established and emerging sectors.How to ApplyFor a confidential discussion or to apply, please contact:Olivia ReedEmail: oliviareed@chadwicknott.co.ukPhone: 0117 917 1515 / 07711 799761At Chadwick Nott, we are committed to developing a diverse and inclusive culture as well as supporting our large client network achieve the same.
