\n Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off Days & Nights \n An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a leading, high-volume manufacturing business operating within a fast-paced production environment. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys both reactive fault finding and proactive maintenance activities while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. \n \n Key Responsibilities\n As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, your duties will include: \n\n • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reliability-based maintenance activities.\n, • Responding to equipment breakdowns and undertaking effective fault finding to minimise downtime.\n, • Diagnosing and repairing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults.\n, • Supporting continuous improvement and lean manufacturing projects focused on increasing reliability and efficiency.\n, • Working in accordance with Permit to Work systems, safe isolation procedures, and site health and safety policies.\n, • Updating maintenance records and managing work orders through the CMMS system.\n, • Ordering and managing spare parts requirements.\n, • Assisting with installation, commissioning, and improvement of new and existing machinery.\n, • Producing and updating technical documentation, SOPs, and risk assessments.\n, • Supporting autonomous maintenance and TPM activities across the site.\n, • Collaborating closely with production, quality, and health & safety teams to maximise operational performance.\n, • Supporting and mentoring colleagues where required.\n, • Working alongside external contractors during maintenance and project activities.\nCandidate Requirements\n To be successful in this position, you will ideally have: Essential\n\n • Minimum 3 years' experience in a maintenance engineering role within a manufacturing environment.\n, • Completed apprenticeship, ONC/HNC, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.\n, • Strong fault-finding experience across automated production machinery.\n, • Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.\n, • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.\n, • Experience working within a fast-paced production environment.\n, • Strong communication and teamworking skills.\n, • Good computer literacy and experience using maintenance management systems.\nDesirable\n\n, • FMCG, food, beverage, packaging, chemical, pharmaceutical, or other high-speed manufacturing experience.\n, • Basic PLC fault-finding knowledge.\n, • Experience with Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, or TPM methodologies.\nWhat We're Looking For\n We're seeking an engineer who is: \n\n • Proactive and solutions-focused.\n, • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.\n, • Committed to high health and safety standards.\n, • Adaptable and capable of working within a fast-paced environment.\n, • Driven to continuously improve equipment performance and reliability.\n, • Motivated to develop their technical skills and support others.\nPerformance Measures\n Success in this role will be measured against: \n\n • Reduction in equipment downtime.\n, • Improvement in OEE performance.\n, • PPM compliance.\n, • Delivery of continuous improvement initiatives.\n, • Health & safety compliance.\n, • Corrective action completion.\n, • Maintenance planning and execution standards.\n, • Contribution to operational efficiency improvements.\nWhat's on Offer\n\n, • Competitive salary: £53,000 and excellent benefits package.\n, • Stable and secure manufacturing environment.\n, • Opportunity to join a market-leading organisation.\n, • Ongoing training and development.\n, • Career progression opportunities.\n, • Challenging and varied engineering role with exposure to modern manufacturing equipment.\n\n \n \n Robert Walters Operations Limited is an employment business and employment agency and welcomes applications from all candidates
